the good part of that is that maybe Dave Gettleman won't be making those picks, I like DG but he seems to shit his pants too often... I agree that Dave is a dope but as I have said over the past two years, Joe Judge is driving our drafts anymore. That's why the last two drafts have been much better. All bets are obviously off with a new GM but I can't complain about guys like Thomas, McKinney, Toney, Ojulari and Robinson. What I DO complain about is Dave's team building methods......which are locked in the 20th century. most had Parsons going to us, because it was so obvious we needed a pass rusher and he was special. imo Dave & co, in order to prove how "progressive" they are (aren't of course), traded back. So the one time we should do the obvious thing, these jerks blow it.

The mocks were all over the place. I would say most had us taking either Smith or Waddle. My point is that this is 20/20 hindsight. Yes..we SHOULD have drafted Josh Allen. But alas.......

CBS Sports, March 31, 2021Giants seven-round 2021 NFL mock draft: New York addresses LB, CB and pass rusher early 1 (11) LB Micah Parsons Penn State " ... if Parsons is on the board, he feels an awful lot like the kind of player general manager Dave Gettleman would adore: He's got every athletic trait you could ask for, and he's got the makings of a tone-setter who can immediately anchor the entire "D." After sending coach Joe Judge to Parsons' Penn State pro day, the G-Men feel like a natural landing spot for arguably the best defensive prospect in the class." ----------------- so obvious!!!!!!!!

I don't. And I wouldn't call it "control". I would say that he has much more influence than Shurmur did. I believe this because of many facts that I have already spelled out. I admit that I don't have any inside information. I am just applying some deductive reasoning.

Yeah, he was the guy I wanted with the original pick. I thought he'd be a guy we could line up all across the field and he'd be a better pass rusher in the NFL than in college. Would have been great as an all around LB for us. Let's see we get a generational talent with the Chicago pick. we already have a generational talent in Barkley...
