Is anyone else excited about what he can bring? Obviously his blocking is top notch. I think we will see beckham and shep on tje outside, Barkley in the backfield and engram and Ellison at tight end as our primary formation. But I can easily see 40 catches for 400 yards and 3-4 tds for Ellison as well as really helping in both pass and run blocking. He should see 1 on 1 match ups with linebackers all day and be able to take advantage of it when he is out on pass routes.
He has familiarity with shurmur as well. The contract he got last year made no sense based on how he was used but I think shurmur will understand how to get the most out of his talents and he could be a big help to us in the run game and pass game as both an extra pass protector and make some plays here and there. Specially in play action on 3rd and 3 or 4 when defenses aren't thinking about him at all.

He was the most underrated player on the team last season. Yes and PS will know how to really utilize him unlike McAdoo...

He will be an important part of this offense. Any team that doesn't plan for him will be sorry.

yes to me Ellison and Gallmen both are going to have good years,Ellison is gonna have some real good chances defenses are gonna be busy trying to keep up wth OBJ Barkely Shep Engram he might be over looked from time to time, and Gallmen ran well behind his pads last year and caught the ball well last year he came back at 220 from 205 and says he hasn't lost any speed looking forward to seeing both of these guys.

Ellison played very well last year especially the last 2-3 games. i look forward to how he will be incorporated into the offense more. Eli has plenty of targets to throw to thats for sure. I also like Gallman. I think he has more of a chance being the #2 than Stewart.

Great hands. I don't remember him dropping a pass. Lots of weapons they have. If the oline holds up it will be very interesting.

He was the most underrated player on the team last season. Gall man wasn’t far behind, that 22 yarder or whatever it was when he reached for the goal line with the dive at the end made me realize this kid has some heart and skill

He apparently can catch more than was anticipated... so now the Coach has a familiar piece in place that he can certainly go to for input from last year. Nothing but upside from this in my opinion.

Ellison I think had one drop the entire season . He has good hands,

I was expecting big things when they brought him over and yet with as bad as the line was. You would of thought he would of been utilized more to protect Eli and provide a reliable dump off option to get him out of trouble. But for whatever reason Mac didn't use him

He's the best TE on the Giants.
Ellison > Engram

He's the best TE on the Giants. Ellison > Engram Well he is a complete TE he is a great blocker with good hands but not a big down field threat. I will say the combination of Ellison and Engram will be excellent if utilized properly and with a decent running game. Potential is sky high here. Who do you double? Odell ?? Engram? Barkley has very good hands also. There are match up nightmare that defenses will have to deal with BUT this hinges on an average to above average running game. Which depends on the Oline being capable.

If Barkley is anything close to what he's hyped up to be we could have an "average to above average" run game even with a line that is just so so

Barring injuries the Giants have enough weapons on offense that they should be able to tailor each game plan to focus on different player's skill sets.
Kind of like what Belichick does.
Everyone cant get max touches every game. I see an exciting diverse offense this season

Ellison and several other players may surprise a lot of Giant fans as to how much they can bring to the team since none of us saw their true talent because of the ineptness of McAdoo and his lack of football imagination on offense....

Ellison can block and he can catch the ball really well.
I look forward to seeing the current coaching staff deploy him more thoughtfully than the last group.

Those aren’t exciting but they’ll set up some more oppprtunities to go down field and extend drives. I never said the offense will be exciting because of the TE, although Engram is exciting to watch.

I agree. I'll take high quality, largely boring TE play that sustains drives and occasionally breaks one, all day.

It's wild that with all the injuries last season and Engram being a main focal point, Mcdoof didnt find a way to get more out of Ellison. Should have just lined Engram up out wide and have Ellison the primary TE. Down the stretch Eli was throwing to Marquise Bundy, Hunter Sharp and Kalif Raymond.

Nothing that Macadoo did made any sense. I've said it many times and I will again. The biggest upgrade that I believe we will have this season, more than Barkley, Ogletree, Solder, getting Beckham back, any of it, is the upgrade in the coaching staff.

After seeing how well he caught the ball I was pissed that he wasn't used more last season.. If the new coach is as good as being projected then I would expect that to change...
