But if the decision was set in stone. Webb should have started over Geno. I can certainly see Webb starting in that situation but even leading up to that MacAdoo seemed to have something against Eli. I found it odd a head coach being as critical against a player. |

I can certainly see Webb starting in that situation but even leading up to that MacAdoo seemed to have something against Eli. I found it odd a head coach being as critical against a player. If I recall, Mara was all in on the decision. |

You don't make football decisions based on emotions/feelings and historic streaks. You make them based on what's best for your team. It would have been best for the team to know what the hell they have, or don't have, in Webb.
well, they lost that chance cuz Webb never touched the field. MacAdoo was a joke.

They didn't realize Eli wasn't going to go along a non professional approach like Pop warner rule MPR minimum play requirement, pretty dumb idea by Mara,later I heard Duke Mannyweather state on locked on giants pod cast that it could have been a whole lot worse if it weren't for Eli getting the ball out in 2.4 seconds rookies tend to hold the ball, Geno still does thats why he got strip sacked so much,Webb was fresh from an offense that he never took a snap from under center don't know if it was right or wrong but he came back healthy and with a his confidence intacked,and saw and learned from a class act how to handle adversity with class. |

David Carr is a prime example on how a team can ruin the career of a young QB with a horrid O-line. One thing most rookie Qbs have in common. It was pretty straightforward, it simply lays out the flaws in the offense Mcadoo was trying to implement and that it's a suboptimal offensive scheme overall that works in GB only because Rodgers runs it. Rodgers' ability to create something once the initial structure breaks down, coupled with a line that will allow him to wait is the reason it works. Unfortunately for the Giants and Mcadoo, there's only one Aaron Rodgers in the league. |

As bad as the O-Line was last year, McAdoo would be the No. 1 thing to change in hindsight. He was too stubborn to realize that he needed to change the way he did things and he flamed out as a HC.

I am a bit perplexed here . last off-season we were coming off an 11 and 5 record , and most of us were quite enthusiastic about the upcoming season. most people on TAGF wanted an improved o-line .. especially left tackle . and of course the perennial tar and feather Jerry Reese out of town also there were ( as usual ) 100 or so threads about whether or not to replace our aging quarterback .. and most people (even though many still didn't like him) were willing to give Mac-a-douche credit where credit was due , turning a 4 year down slide into an optimistic 11 and 5 record . other than that the biggest controversy was about reigning in OBJ's immature egotistical antics .. especially the boat trip. no one foresaw or predicted the catastrophe that would come after the off-season . most of you folks are putting the cart before the horse.  |
