A bit surprised by it. Wondering why the need to go public.

Hope Giants sign a CB that is better than free agent D. Evans.
From the way even drafted Giants CB's play, the Giants should consider hiring a new defensive back coach to coach them up

because its going to go public instantly anyway, because they actually just get it all done and out there and move forward instead of leaving it for speculation and rumor. i like this new giant regime so far. do it, be upfront, and keep moving, plus theres hundreds of guys thatll be available. i see schoen aggressively all over this next couple days, as difficult as cuts are on the one hand, hes probably dying to get at a chance for more players. |

That's not Devin Funchess, is it? I thought he retired. The other big Panther WR that DG drafted did, the Giants were trying to convert him to TE, he had a blow out with Judge and Gettlemen last year. Can't remember his name he was good as a rookie then blew out his knee and was never the same. |

So if we don’t sign him it’s clearly a conscience decision based on inside knowledge. I also wonder, is he a vet minimum contract or does he get a little interest and now we’re thinking about making room on the cap. Most stories are saying they expect the Ravens to resign him as soon as they move players to the IR. |

This is a big day as we see who the Giants and other teams will cut to get down to a 53-man roster.
I'm hoping the Giants make one or more trades today or the next few days for some good outside CBs. As Flott and Robinson are to inexperienced and hesitate too long before committing to coverage. [
The rest of the week should be exciting as the Giants add and cut players.
With Corbin reported to be cut today, I'm wondering if the Giants will stay with Williams or Brightwell or will Giants pick-up a player or players cut to replace one or both of them.

For teams like ours were we absolutely suck for depth in some positions this is like yard sale season. Decent stuff for no money. Not gonna change our season but could matter if injuries blows up a position. I noticed during the Jets game that the broadcasters mentioned a few times they have too many quality TEs. Those situations I’m excited about. Unfortunately we need depth in two areas where basically everyone needs depth (OL and DB). I wasn’t crapping on signing players off the waiver wire. Jefferson seems like an easy signing to make, we don’t have safety depth at all, so if we don’t grab him it’s because Wink knows something the rest of us don’t. |

This will surprise some fans but that 6th WR spot is a special teams roster spot more than a WR roster spot. I’m really curious about Slayton. We all read there was some trade interest. Must have been truly putrid to not take something. I wonder if they’re thinking that there’s so many bubble WRs in the NFL that he might actually clear waivers. Seems incredibly unlikely. |

With Bachman cut, I want to see if Giants add a completely new WR, and cut even more Giants WRs on the bubble. With Bachman cut, it seems there must be a lot of good WRs who will be cut by other teams today.
I'm hoping the Giants cut James. Too inconsistent.
