The Giants max their cap out. The Eagles always have $20 mil hanging around. They are able to make moves like this, of positions of need. They are able to absorb his money this year, if he’s good, they have the space to resign him. If they don’t want him, he’ll get a new contract somewhere else next year, and the Eagles will likey get a comp pick. It’s a no lose situation and fills a big hole.
Giants are kings at maxing out their cap and still have holes.

Besides the question mark at QB, I think the Eagles have the best roster in the NFL. They are absolutely loaded.

Hate the Eagles…but their front office has been light years ahead of the Giants for over a decade. I’m tired of 3 wins.

Eagles are always in cap hell. They just don't mind using their credit card.

honestly as much as I trash the eagles, they do a good job drafting/trading maybe outside of drafting wrs not so good at that, BUT they fix it. There's a reason they've been competing for the past decade for the most part while we've been on the bottom. They've done it right lately, not a big beleiver in Hurts, but they've got that team stacked around him.. one thing getty could not do for jones.

They also have Bradberry now... BUT THEY CUT CARSON STRONG!
Eagles will probably win the division. Then get bounced in the playoffs.
Dont forget, they also picked up Davis and Dean in the draft, 2 of Georgias most talented defensive players. Not sure how they have been looking in preseason.

When you think about it, since Andy Reid's hiring, how many losing seasons have they had? Not many that I can recall

Aaaaaaaaand…they still have two 1st round picks for the next draft. They’ll only be going up for quite a few years barring several major injuries or coaching flaws or if Hurts sucks that bad AND they whiff in draft on another QB.

They are always pushing money around In a couple years they will start over since 2013 we have been rebuilding lol and haven't moved the needle. I think this is the Eagles 3rd rebuild all have been successful enough to have them stay competitive and win a championship. If this doesn't work for the Giants nothing will we have Schoen one of the architects of the Buffalo turnaround Brandon Brown a disciple of Howie Rosmen Mike Derice our national scout was named one of the next big names in the GM bucket. We also have a front office hand poached from the Ravens. This aint a 1 man show there is some good NFL minds working in Giants land.

A much better run organization than the giants with a good gm and an owner that has learned to keep his hands off the product.
I hope/think we’re starting something like that. I’m prepared for that transition to take 2-3 years. Reminds me of the Seahawks building their roster and waiting for their guy rather than shoving a blue chip into a world of hurt.

And the Eagles don’t draft much better than the Giants. It’s these little trades they always make to fill holes. Chauncey AJ Brown Minshew Darious Slay Jordan Howard Michael Bennett Jay Ajayi Ronald Darby Timmy Jernigan Darren Sproles Jason Peters These are just some of the trades they made to fill holes to try to complete they’re team. All starters for them. They typically don’t give up high draft picks. They look for teams that can’t/won’t spend the money for players…then they trade because they do have the money to give them, if they want. These are the guys the Giants can’t get. They can’t get them because they blow all their money, all the time.

The eagles got stomped in Miami but they didn't play any starters I don't think and Dean played 8 snaps and Davis 7.

Eagles are always in cap hell. They just don't mind using their credit card. Remember when everyone thought they won't recover from the Wentz contract? Remember how quickly they dug out of the "Dream Team" failure? What was it, 2 or 3 years later they won the SB? They are one of the best teams at cap management in the entire league, and cleaning up their mistakes quickly.

I will give the Eagles credit. Whenever someone or something doesn't work out for them, they move on from that mistake quickly instead of stubbornly waiting for it to work itself out. I hate them, but I respect their operation. Instead of keeping Reagor simply because he was a first round pick (probably their worst ever outside or Mike Mamula), they got rid of him and got something in return.

I will give credit where credit is due. On paper the Eagles look stacked and will probably have a good season. With that said they did not look like they dominated us in games we played last season.

Short memory. First game if not for Jalen playing like his last name, the Eagles win going away. They put 208 yards on us on the ground, and we squeaked a victory out of them. The last game was a laugher, that’s when we had a fan playing quarterback. And the Eagles rolled us. Since 2010, we are 6-18 against them. That’s not a rivalry, that’s a massacre.

Last I checked, the Eagles have a lot more room in their trophy case than the Giants do.
They just moved their pretty recent first round pick for a song to the Vikings.
On paper they look better right now but things have a way of changing.

Hurts is their QB so I dont know that we can say if not for him although I will say if not for Engram dropping a ball in his hands we would have swept them in 2020. In regards to our second game vs them last season (2021) I think we were basically in tank mode.

Eagles are ass…but since we are on the subject and I live down here so I get to deal with their bullshit on a daily basis, I’ll tell you why they have our number. Because they’re ****ing fast. Since the Buddy Ryan days the team’s emphasis is on speed. Look who they put at LB and Secondary and then look who we put there every damn year. Their QBs and WRs have great chemistry. This has been going on for years until Chip Kelly came and ****ed it all up and Roseman had to kick his ass to the curb. If you don’t believe me look real close. They are a fast team. Speed kills.
