Do we have 12 for the draft tonight? Rules Q: Is it full point ppr? Is it 6 pt Passing TDs? How is the waiver order created each week? We do but the DRAFT IS TOMORROW NIGHT. Draft order will be set later today. I’m doing a Zoom. Me and my co-commissioners are reviewing settings at that time as well. Yes, I’m very pro 6point passing…it’s set that way now. Inverse order on waivers unless my co-commissioners push for fab today. The rules are all visible in the Yahoo app. Once we have our meeting tonight they will lock in for the season.

Please take note of the score settings as well. Fairly straightforward for a PPR. Only thing to consider is that passing TDs will be 6 points, and we have baked in some bonuses for yardage to get scoring up and reward monster games. Screenshots attached 👍 Attachments:

Can we agree to keep this scoring mostly the same. As it impacts who we draft for keeping too

Thanks for posting the draft order and scoring! Keep in mind we have 2 flex positions!
Also, 6 of us have voted on the number of keepers on the poll thread. It’s a tie vote between 2 and 4. Make your choice by voting in the poll. Thanks!

Also any limits on how long you can keep a player?

I vote 2 (don’t see the poll). My main reasoning is two fold: good balance of rewarding sharp owners for finding good values, while also keeping things moderately level from year to year, which helps replace teams that drop out. Also, it doesn’t stress the draft out too much. Keepers really put a dent in the draft in general; even 24 players coming out does so. 48 guys eliminated from selection would really impact the draft. That being said, if 4 keepers wins, I’m obviously still in, I would just move to suggest that a $25 deposit be made per team for next year as well and, if someone drops out following the season, that deposit can serve as a credit to the replacement owner if needed.
Time limit is something we should discuss. I would recommend keeping it to 1, maybe 2 seasons max on a guy. And yes, Mike, if you take someone first round that’s their price next year. But bear in mind that it may be worth it if you’re picking 12th and your guy is projected 1st overall.

As far as trades go. How are trades approved? Is trading future or current draft picks allowed?

As far as trades go. How are trades approved? Is trading future or current draft picks allowed? Good question. I think the real question behind this is: how do we balance moves that have 2023 implications in 2022? I originally had a long response typed up but sometimes short and simple yields the best results. For trades that mostly have 2022 application, I would expect them all to be approved. I personally have never liked trade vetos, but sometimes in leagues that have some continuity, teams have different objectives, which will make a trade lopsided. If a move seems heavily rooted in 2023,, e.g., includes a ‘23 draft pick, player who is more of a keeper value than an immediate force being traded for a decidedly better player today, etc. and we are at an impasse on how to vote on it, I think it’s a reasonable request for Scott to require a deposit for ‘23 from both sides of the deal. Again, biggest threats to leagues like this is not maintaining continuity from year to year. I want people to have a great time and take a multi-season view, but it has to be balanced with that very real possibility of drop off as well. Take it from me, I was a degenerate on the old message board for close to 10 years and totally fell off the football train for about 6 years until now. It can happen! 😂

Ill change my vote to 3. Edit:looks like most people want two now

Thank for taking the time to offer this thoughtful response!

My exam ended way earlier than anticipated, so I will be able to attend the draft on time instead of having to use the dreaded auto-pick.
