Daboll and Kafka has a plan today. Being unsure of the offensive line and WRs, their plan was for the defense to win the game and the offense was designed to avoid mistakes by being deliberately limited.
As running were continually run up the middle for gains of two yards, and passes were quite short which resulted in 3rd downs and long yardage for first downs. Once again, the Giants placed Jones in the position of bailing out their terrible plays and play calling throughout the game.
Daboll did not trust the Giants throwing longer developing crossing patterns till deep into the fourth quarter when Jones with time running out was forced to.
As for offensive players, Robinson continues to try to catch passes with his body, and he'll never be the player he could be until he catches the ball with his hands. As posters have pointed out Johnson is just plain terrible.
I I found Daboll's smirk throughout the game unbecoming a HC.
His game plan was to keep the game within reach without offensive mistakes. It basically worked except for James on special teams fumbling twice resulting in two turnovers. If had covered the ball with two hands when confronted by opponents he would not have fumbled.
Till then the defense played fairly well giving up but 13-points thru three quarters.
As for individual players, I loved Smith being moved to middle linebacker as Crowder is worthless as he attempted tacking while erect and not crouched down. Roche was bad as he can't move laterally.
Moreau was exploited today. Such was bound to happen as he's never been a good player till this season. Would liked to have seen McCloud played instead.
I wrote in pre-season that Jackson can't cover deep passes and he was twice exploited in deep passes as he twice beaten but luckily one time the Seahawks offensive player dropped the ball. Jackson played well on mid-range passes.
Phillips played badly drawing two penalties and being beaten twice. I was hoping to see Hamilton play.
Ezeudu is not good on pass blocking. Wish Gates was ready to play more.
So the loss today is on the coaches. The Giants should rebound but the coaches not being aggressive in play calling but the Giants in the butt.

I can't remember who said this (I think it was Parcells) 'Every Monday 50% of the fan bases think they will never win another game'.

We saw Jones come off his drop with no where to go a number of times. So either he was off his game or he had no one to throw to. My guess is it's the latter.
Like most everything in life, it’s a bit of both. It certainly can be but given our WR situation, I'm inclined to cut Jones some slack for the passing game issues. As it was, he threw quite a few passes into coverage.

Ultimately it's one game, happens every season, sometimes multiple times a season, coming out flattish. Especially with the cross country trip, Giants have a ways to go. Anyone who isn't happy to have meaningful football being played at the half point probably needs another team to root for or more likely multiple front running teams to root for lol. At 6-2 we have several weeks of meaningful games lets hope they make me change my 7-9 win upped prediction to 9 -11 wins.

For some that is to much to handle lol. For me i don't care where ether talent comes from.

Check out Thibs’ stats today. Pthhh. I saw at least 3x he was held. No calls. I don't understand why the refs never call it. The Giants have been getting a hosing lately Tibs especially. I saw on that Geno run down by the goal line a hold and an OL tripp I wanna say Leo nothing.

Plenty of them when there are no more Gettlemen guys they will stop, I'm Glad he got some right because it has shortened the rebuild a bit possibly.

I expected more from Jones TBH. Not blaming him per se . Just wanted him to b a hero!! Of course lots wrong today....ST turnovers of course. But the O was lame. They had opportunity

My guess is it's the latter.
I'd like to see the All 22. Many drop backs he had time cant imagine he had no place to throw.Even the opening drives they wanted Jones to win with his arm. He didnt. I will be critical of Jones. Its his year to show it. The Hawks are good but not that good. Perfect game for Jones to show up big.

The whole team played poorly, honestly I think a lot of it had to do with the crowd noise, the whole offense seemed out of sync.
This was the first game where it looked like they just weren't ready to play. Jones did not play well, right from the start missing a wide open Cager for a huge play.
I also thought the play calling wasn't great either, some questionable calls and decisions.
I hate to admit it, but Pete Carroll is a good coach, and he came up with a winning game plan. Just need to move on to the bye and get some guys healthy.

13-13 in the 4th quarter.
Even with 2 ST fumbles the Hawks still only scored 27 points.
This loss is squarely on Jones and the offense.

Well that really stunk. I knew they weren't going to be able to keep that coming from behind to win method going but this week the ST failed to give them a chance.

We need to get a WR before the trade deadline in the worst way. They owe it to DJ. The dam broke offensively after this nice run of wins its was ultimately unsustainable especially with the recent Injuries to Bellinger and so on. We need at to fet a young WR to help the offense out otherwise I'm afraid the defenses will copy Seattle's blueprint and we won't be able to counter. We need to give DJ all the help now.

Giants defense played well yesterday, the offense did not.
A good passing offense can get players open consistently by maneuvering a defense. Daboll has done that at times in the second half of games.
Yesterday's game required an aggressive passing game. Only saw that toward the end of the game. Daboll completely was Jones talent of throwing mid-range passes. Also, screwed the Giants offense by having Williams drive up the middle.
Yesterday's Giants offensive game plan wasn't aggressive from the get go in his play calling and Giants running game was terrible. Giants problems seem to go well beyond the loss of offensive lineman and WRs.
