Nats win 12-3 and take a commanding 2-0 lead back home to DC. Greinke vs Corbin.... Could easily be 3-0 after Game 3!! Pounded in their own building. Both aces fall. League got what they wanted jobbing yankees in game 6, now they get the crap series they deserve that no one will be watching. Being a bitter Yankees fan, I'm certainly avoiding the games, and am glad the Expos are winning it.

Im ok with that since the Astros are right handed heavy. Sanchez has been pitching well too. ITs Houstons BP game vs Corbin in game 4. I really didnt expect this, but Im enjoying seeing the Asstros getting beat up.

Verlander hasn't won a game in 6 consecutive post season starts - a record Cole got lit up in his last start, and also was fortunate Yankees left a lot of men on base or he would have been lit up in his previous start too
I dont but into this "go all in on pitching, and not power" mantra. Just look at Astros. I actually like Yankees approach of paying less for a guy with some question marks, but if he overcomes can perform at a high level. That's how you end up with a discount. Paying Cole the $300MM+ he will never outperform that deal, and any issues (health or performance) means it was a loss. For a guy that only sees the field 1.5/week during regular season, thats unacceptable. And the longer the pitch into post-season the worse their performance suffers as batters gain the advantage after seeing all their pitches.

You fail to mention that part of the strategy involves having the best bull pen, which the Yankees did. And that even with the loss of a key starter like German right before post season they were still able to get deep into playoffs. Contrast that to Astros comparatively soft middle relievers and how it led them to over use their starters (Verlander on 3 days, and last night bringing him out after 98 pitches to watch him self destruct again). I didn't say don't add pitchers, just don't take the highest prices guy like Cole at $300mm+. I'm perfectly happy with what they've gotten out of Paxton (1 win which was against Verlander, and 1 no decision in ALCS), and Happ who was dominant in September and game 6 appearance.

You are on your own there. Cole is the best pitcher in the game right now. I want him in pinstripes. Cole went 6+ innings in 29 of his 33 starts. Thats saves your pen too. Happ? Come on...

Maybe, but I thought they would've scored more runs against Greinke last night.

It's baseball. The Stros are obviously the better team, IMO. It's not even close to being over and the best team doesnt always win, but as a baseball fan, I'm loving this Series. A game 7 would be epic.

Did you guys see the umps try screwing the Nats again?
Basepath interference on Turner? Get the hell out of here. After last games terrible strike zone?
Rendon saved them by blasting a 2 run jack after. For now.
They need to move the base to the outside part of the foul line if they can call that interference.

Greinke is so under rated. Reminds me of Tanaka.
Btw Turner was out the night before. Good call by umpire.

Washington Nationals, your 2019 MLB World Series Champions. Who had that? Started 19-31 in 2019. And since they had the best record in MLB up to yesterday.
I can live with that if it isnt the Yanks. Especially with Bryce not there.
Road team won all 7 games.
Suck it Houston
