Yea he was unusually fair he must like TD eh, I could hear him get excited for the packers plays and downplay the Giants. "Barkley hasn't been able to run tonight and he won't"...5 seconds later 16 yard run lol also, he lied about our defense...he said we're giving up crazy amount of points the last few weeks...unless he's only referencing the cowboys game, he mad He didn’t say “and won’t.” He said “it’s going to be hard to run the clock down because they haven’t been able to run all night. Barkley is averaging 2 yards and carry,”

I wonder if 49ers fans think that way too. Brock Purdy is limited, but has the "it" factor. Right now, DeVito is showing the same traits on a much shittier team. Know what? I slept on it. I'm not convinced Tommy isn't the answer. He has pocket awareness, which is what DJ lacks. With DJ, every play is a fire drill. This kid is really good in the pocket. And he's a very accurate passer. Why can't we build on that? I'm not sure about this but one thing I am sure about....Tommy DeVito is the best QB on our roster. I’m not sure he’s a starting QB in the NFL. Give the NFL and DCs a few weeks to catch up and this kid will probably not be performing like he currently is. Maybe he will? Who knows? But you can certainly build around him because he’s counting $400k against the cap. That’s how good teams build contenders. When their starting QB is on a rookie/paltry deal. Unfortunately there’s an albatross of a QB contract about to hit out books for 2024.

Lawrence was only in on 3rd downs. Wink was easing him back in which seemed to pay off. A'Shawn and Ojulari had good games. McKinney also had another good one. Kayon had one of his best games of the year. He's playing as well as anyone on defense in the league.
That breakup by Banks in the end zone showed us why we drafted him.

I know you know I said the same thing last night. But clearly I’m talking about him being a future incumbent starting QB for the Giants. Maybe I should have drawn that in crayon for you.

Also to note, Matt LaFleur is now 16-1 in December games in his career.
Thats 16 wins and ONE GIANT LOSS
More Tommy DeVito magic.

YES let’s win some games when the team isn’t any good. We will be the division doormat at least Washington knows how to do it….Yeah, finishing last every year has really put them over the top. Sorry McShit but that was us besides last year and during the Eli’s carcass years.

You guys just might make the playoffs. My Packers are going to collapse after this. Vikings are going into a free fall. I say the Giants and Rams take the last playoff spots.

While I'm a big fan of DeVito, I don't think he's the answer, especially long term. I DO however, think he will be signed to a decent backup deal for a few years. I think he will take over as our #1 backup, jumping Tyrod Taylor. I also like to think he will get a fair shot at challenging DJ as our starter in the offseason. He's taken HUGE steps forward in a short amount of time, his pocket awareness has increased tenfold, his decision making has gotten better, even throwing it out of bounds if there were no open receivers or running lane. The game seems to be "slowing down" for him 1 thing he can work on is his consistency, 1 throw looks amazing, the next looks like it was thrown by an updrafted FA. ...And his cleats are awesome

Well, I think he is a better QB than Daniel Jones. So, maybe. He is better than a lot of starting QBs right now in the NFL IMO. And he is still learning. Only 4th start as an undrafted player. It takes time for most QBs to get good. If you drop him into a 49ers uniform, how far off is he from Purdy? This turns my draft thought to a #1 WR and the most pro ready Guard or RT and an edge in the first 3 picks unless some one falls to us that can make every throw and has some real anticipation. If we miss out on Maye, Williams, and Daniels, I'd be totally fine going with the top WR, Edge, OT or even the TE Bowers. Maybe if Nix or Penix fall to the 2nd, take a shot on 1 of them. Sadly this is an AWFUL year for OGs in the draft. Too bad McKethan and Ezeudu haven't panned out yet

It will be telling how he handles things once defensive coordinators/coaches get more and more tape on him and start spotting tendencies they can exploit. When that time comes, how he adjusts to different things that he surely has never seen before will be key obviously. One thing I am noticing is I see improvement along the O-line particularly the pass blocking and wonder and I hate to have to say it, if no Evan Neal on the regular in recent weeks is actually helping the pass blocking. Partly this improved play is also of course due to the defensive competition the last 3 games even against a Belichick defense that is never easy to decipher but clearly is not as good as past years.

Dumbest shit want from certain fans. YES let’s win some games when the team isn’t any good. We will be the division doormat at least Washington knows how to do it…. All those high draft picks from 2018-2022 clearly made us one of the best teams in the league during that time frame. Let's keep hoping for losses so we can continue to draft high and continue to dominate the league.

Penix's injury history is troubling. Mike Onwenu and Robert Hunt are going to have to be made priorities in free agency if they remain available and can be lured here simply because of the very reason you stated about the Guard talent in the draft being thin.

Well done, G-Men. Always good to get the W.
Both games last night had an exciting and fun 2nd half.
Pissed that Miami lost though.

Unfortunately It's not a great free agent class for interior linemen either. I agree either of those guards would be a big upgrade. But there will be competition, including from the other team in our building.
