I am really happy with Barret and that kid we got from Michigan there both really good prospects! We just might have gotten the second best player in this draft and the best draft pick since Ewing! Way better then Porzingis when we drafted him, how can you watch these highlights and not get excited for the Knicks future also people knocking these deals in here are you Nets fans? Because they are still the Knicks... 20 years of belly flopping will do that to you. KP was the future too, until he wasnt. Look all I know If you watched Duke the past couple of Years or watched Duke Highlights Barret was the secondary Star on the team behind that kid that went #1 over all he was on the highlight Reel nightly! Barret Is like picking up a star free agent! He is tall athletic and makes sweet plays nightly what's not to like? Porzingis could have been great but he was always injured and to compare Knox to Barret is a joke Knox cant shine Barret's shoes never could. That being Said Knox is only 19 he could get better?

So KD declined his 31+M player option, officially becoming a free agent. Will be interesting to see which team gives him a max contract to sit next year. Someone will, I hope it's not the Knicks. He has been a great player, but will be coming back from a serious injury, and on the wrong side of 32 by that point. Most athletes lost some speed and agility after an achilles, and I'm not sure he will play up to a max contract.

Murphy's Law in Midtown Manhattan. You know if they dont go after him and he signs with Brooklyn, and is 100% by Feb-March, Knicks will be killed for it. Then again, if they do sign him and he is never the same, and just another busted FA signing on a declining injured FA, Knicks will get killed.

I ratherthey (Knicks) stay the course on the youth movement. Wait ,for next years free agents. KD, players are never 100%, after a major injury. Leonard and Irving have bad knees. Would like Knicks to trade for Sabonis (Pacers).

Torn achilles is terrible for a guy like that. Like a horse breaking a leg. I don't think KD made a good choice optinf out of player option

Let’s be clear, someone is giving Durant a max contract. I won’t be upset if it’s the Knicks.

He is going to get a max deal with whoever for even more than the 31 mil he would have made to opt in. Players like Marc Gasol, who knows damn well he isn't going to get 25+ million next year from anyone, opt in.

I saw that but I like to keep my hopes unrealistic vs. wildly unrealistic 😎 It will never happen. We arnt that lucky. Hell join lebron and durant will go with Kyrie for the Nets. Kemba Walker to the Celts What was looking so promising of the possibility of a Zion, Durant, Irving combo at one time has gone up in smoke. Its been a snowball effect of disasters from the #1 & 2 pics going to teams with little or no chance over the knicks great chances. To Durants injury. Never has the knicks in this superteam area had anything close to a big 3

But dont sleep on Barrett. The kid is a great player on both sides of the ball. Hes solid in his game all around. Doesnt have the star power of a Zion buy nighylt in night out compare their stat sheets and i bet Barretts numbers will be better

Durant picking Brooklyn. Knicks with 70 mil to spend on nobody. And being a Knicks fan sucks still for the foreseeable future. Whatever, no big surprise. Claiming you are coming to NY and joining the Nets is like like basically being a fraud.

Look at my post of yesterday at 3:52pm. I really hoped i was wrong but like i said no way leonard would come here with Durant when optionnof staying with his title team or form a super team with lakers were possibilities.
Durant now with no viable other max player to lure to NY had to look at joing Kyrie in NJ or going back to GS as much better options. And he took the better option to join Kyrie and former Knick DeAndre Jordan with Nets.
Knicks with all this promise a few months back when they were favored to land Zion and at time durant and Irving were being reported as locks to join the Knicks. " its a done deal many sports talk shows said. The NBA need the Knicks to be good. Needs MSG to be rockin agsin
Well somehow the jinx has prevailed as they got shut out of all 3 and drop down plsyers like Kemba Walker to Celts and few other players like Butler committed to other teams

What an utter embarrassment Now they will have to fill the roster out with a bunch of 2nd tier type players and maybe be competitive but not be close to being in ring forca title with no superstars Hey I hear Porzingas is available lol

What did he do? Other than be a terrible owner. Haha, he is the poster child for the dysfunction of the New York Knicks. If the Knicks even had an average owner, they would be a free agent hotbed. The Knicks used to be a franchise that I at least respected despite being a Nets fan. Now they are a laughing stock and have been for a very long time.

Holy shit, Knicks didn’t want to pay him the max to sit out this year and wanted protection if he couldn’t make it back 100%. I can’t decide if that’s smart or pisses me off. I guess I won’t know until we see what version of Durant comes back.

Oh in all fairness, Dolan also owns the Rangers who are doing a 100% legit rebuild and doing it well. FA’s never shy away from the Rangers. They embrace the opportunity frequently. For all we know the biggest fish in the NHL FA pool is about to be a Ranger.

I know randall has solid #s of 20+ ppg Randall, has improved his game. But, he goes predominantly ( left handed) left almost all the time. Needs to improve going right. Gibson, will give some minutes per game. I believe he more valued as a role mentor, for the young players. Bullock, has never lived up to his potential, coming out of North Carolina. I would pass on him. Like to see Knox traded for Sabonis.

Jimmy Butler to the Heat. T. Harris resigns with Philly.
With Toronto even losng Leonard they will be tough. Philly always tough. Nets now will be competing for first place and Boston shoukdbe real good addind K. Walker.
Knicks might be a last place team again even with who they signed. Id say probably no better then 4th
