Good read but I hope he understands the QB position isn't all about arm strength. Lots of QB flamed out thinking their arm was enough.

"Every day in practice Webb tells star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. the same thing: 'You ain’t outrunning my arm.' When Manning points out that Webb overlooked an easy five-yard completion in favor of attempting a 70-yard bomb on a rep, Webb responds that he’s 'gotta get the arm on tape.'” How he should respond..."You're right, Eli. I'll work on that."

I have no problem that he is confident, nor that he is airing it out in practice. If and when he gets a chance to play later this year he better look for the 5 yard completion unless Odell is streaking down the side line wide open.

I just want him to be a better Quarterback... than a Coach.

I think he's just being smart about his career. He knows he's in a battle with the current management's guy. Doesn't hurt to get your name (and arm) out there a bit more for others to see.
I'm glad he's confident and playing well. I'm still pissed that the opportunity to get him in during the last three games of last season was wasted. It'd be great if he's the guy but as he says, he has to play in real games first.

I have no problem with Webb’s comments. Nothing wrong with confidence.
And it Iwould be great if we have Eli’s successor already.
It’s all good if you ask me.

Its obvious that this kid really wants to be great and is willing to put in the work and do whatever it takes. When you combine that with his arm talent and the film he showed in college we may have something. On the other hand, there is a reason he was a 3rd round pick. I don't know what that reason is, and it doesn't mean he can't be great, but I wonder why he wasn't a top QB prospect. What was he missing?

I've heard the rap is his decision making in the pocket. the only way to resolve that it to get him on the field and gain experience. We had that chance last year and blew it.

That is a lost opportunity for the Giants, Webb and the fans! ... it is actually like being a rookie all over again and having prove yourself since Webb is still an unknown quantity. If he performs well... then all of the other things he has done with the situation he finds himself in lends itself to the prospect of a Manning replacement. I wish him well.

Actually, this quote really bothered me Same here...but I realized I really don't know anything about this guys sense of humor, or how he interacts with Eli. It's all just ball-busting. No context on paper. Much like how Eli was riffing on Webb and Geno after he was benched saying he "swept" them in all the practice drills and dummies on the board tried to say Eli was being a mean teammate or some hogwash chicken baby bull crap.

Apparently his NFL arm strength is now confirmed. He is also well documented as a willing student and hard worker. All we need now is for the bullets to start flying to see how he reacts. Go Blue!!

As far as I’m concerned, I don’t see much of a separation between him and a guy like Samchez who was drafted 3rd this year. Both have good arms and are pretty mobile. I think it was a good idea to pass on a QB who might end up being inferior to Webb and get a potential game changing player instead. He next QB will have weapons on offense.

I'm hoping a constant upgrading of the trenches combined with the skill positions they have will make this team very good.

Sanchez IMO came out too early another year at USC would have served him well. Then again who knows the decision to come out Junior year is all about stock value and risk getting hurt senior year then no value... tough call.
