I'm in on lock even at 6. I don't think he will be there at 17 with a number of QB hungry teams ready to pounce. Unless the giants are confident they can move from 17 to say 10, if this is their guy, they should take him at 6.

Jordan Ranaan believes that the Giants prefer Lock, although Twitter was abuzz yesterday because some dude from yahoo (Charles Robinson) tweeted that the Giants have Jones as their QB1

I think that a lot of these guys just make stuff up

Looks like his release point is too low. Not sure that's a big deal. Philip Rivers is low as well. Tony Romo' release had a low trajectory too but it allowed him to get rid of the ball faster and a less telegraphed throwing motion.

If you have a QB whisperer, why would you not get the rocket armed guy with wheels, that has the size...and most importantly, biggest upside, an upside that can be generated by having the QB whisperer?
Seems a bit of a waste to have a Lock out there, and have a Shurmur hired....

meh, he looked pretty rusty out there over throwing his WR's when he first got on the field but he settled down and played better as they worked his mid range game and ability to move out of the pocket. His medium game is pretty good. Him and DJ are 1A and 1B IMO, but Lock still has the bigger arm as u can tell by his overthrows in that thin Denver air. t wait to see if DJ outplays him in his debut. I think he was 7-11, 40+ yards and a sack..
Of course this is after just 2 weeks of camp and it was an ugly game, but I'm cheering for him

It’s his first live action in the NFL for Pete’s sake. Thing that concerns me about Lock is that for as many starts as he had in college, he still needs a lot of work.

He looked better this game. You could tell he is getting comfortable. The safety sack didn't help though.
What is up with Lock's footwork. He's not getting into his drops....smh

These kids need talent, obviously, but the wrong coach and scheme can really screw up talent. I'm not suggesting he isn't being coached well (who can tell yet, anyway), I'm genuinely asking if anyone knows about his situation while being thankful DJ is probably in the best possible situation he could be in. Pre-draft, I wanted us to trade back into the late first to get Lock, btw.

But it very well turn out that Gettlemen knew what he was doing *gasp*

He won his last two games and upset the Texans..
3 TD's in the first half. Finally showing what he can do.

He has won 3 out of his first 4 starts. Lock is a gamer and if Elway goes and drafts another QB, he should be ran out of Denver.
Lock is Josh Allen lite.....mark my words. This was a very good QB class, and they might end up being better than the highly touted 2020 class.

Pat Shurmur took my advice and went to go coach him in Denver..
IMAGINE THAT? It's like my prediction is coming through but in a different timeline. He obviously knows what he has in Drew Lock, so I assume that Shurmur could have been OK with Drafting lock as well.

As for Shurmur, ever since the ex-Giants head coach landed in Denver, fans have been dying to know whether he liked Lock in last year's draft. On Thursday, Shurmur illuminated the subject in a conversation with Broncos TV, confirming that the Giants really liked Lock.
“We did. Obviously, we were in the market for a quarterback last year and we had a very, very high opinion of Drew," Shurmur told Phil Milani of the team's site. "We did a lot of work on him. We were very certain that he was going to have an outstanding career—he’s got a bright future—and I’m really looking forward to being able to work with him.”
