Well....sort of. Yanks have a lot of games to play on the road. Well, that will change on June 11th, after completing ten road games that began last night. By the way, three of those ten will be played at Citi Field next weekend. They'll almost be like home games. PS: Two games up in the all important loss column.

I fully expect the Sox to continue to take it on the chin in Houston. I would take 1 out of 4 there in a heartbeat, especially now. But the Sox have had two horrific roadtrips already and have a huge advantage with the Yanks in games played and road/home games. The loss column means nothing now because the Yankess are going to have to play all those extra games that the Sox have already played. It will flip back and forth at the top of the AL East until that last series in Boston at the end of September. I see both teams winning or coming close to 100 games. Should be fun. We do miss Mookie now though. That is killing us.

I'm more interested in strength of opponents the rest of the way.

MLB Draft 2018: Yankees pick catcher Anthony Seigler in 1st round. The Yankees picked Anthony Seigler, an 18-year-old catcher from Cartersville, Ga., with their first-round pick in the 2018 MLB Draft on Monday. Another catcher??? Don't we need pitching and have Gary Sanchez for the next ten years? Yankees select catcher Josh Breaux with No. 61 pick in MLB draft. The Yankees selected catcher Josh Breaux with the No. 61 pick in the MLB draft on Monday. Breaux is the second catcher the Yankees drafted on Monday, as they picked the ambidextrous Anthony Seigler 23rd overall. Breaux, 20, is a 6-foot-2, 215-pound junior college prospect from Texas. He was picked in the 36th round in 2017 by the Astros. Baseball America ranked him the No. 88 prospect in 2018, according to Whole Hog Sports' Scottie Bordelon. Breaux hit .404 with 18 home runs and 69 RBIs as a sophomore for McLennan Community College. He would be slotted to earn approximately $1.1 million should he pass on his commitment to the University of Arkansas. Yankees’ Sonny Gray trade isn’t working out for A’s so far. The Yankees had agreed to two prospects needed to obtain Sonny Gray last July, but GM Brian Cashman was hesitant on the third. James Kaprielian was the 16th-overall pick in the 2015 draft and earlier in the month the Yankees already had sent the player taken 18th overall in 2016, Blake Rutherford, to the White Sox in the deal that landed Todd Frazier, Tommy Kahnle and David Robertson. Kaprielian had No. 3-starter projections, maybe even better than that, and his talent was not easy to let go. But he had elbow problems that limited him to three starts in 2016, and in 2017 he needed Tommy John surgery. The Yanks felt they were ready to begin a sustained period of winning and with all the missed time and limited innings (just 29 1/3 since being drafted), they wondered if the righty would be able to help the cause before 2020, and maybe not until 2021. That guided the Yankees to include Kaprielian in the trade. Read more. nypost.com/2018/06/05/yankees-sonny-gray-trade-isnt-working-out-for-as-so-far/

Yankees win battle with ESPN over late-game telecast. The Yankees have put up another win this season, as MLB and ESPN have decided not to make them play the Blue Jays on “Sunday Night Baseball” on July 8. In a peace deal brokered by commissioner Rob Manfred, the Yankees-Blue Jays game will revert back to its original 1 p.m. start time that Sunday instead of ESPN’s usual 8 p.m. first pitch. Yankees players and management were annoyed that they were being asked to start a game in Toronto in prime time when they have a doubleheader slated for Baltimore the next afternoon. Manfred spoke with executives from the network, the Yankees, Blue Jays, the Players Association and the Orioles to resolve the issue, which was decided upon Tuesday afternoon. Joey Cora is sacrificing today's game to get an extra two days rest for every starter. I would have gone for the jugular with Sale today but I'm going to trust him.

All this "sweep talk" on sports talk radio, the newspapers and the internet, I'm getting a little nervous with all the super confidence. deGrom is a stud, they say Matz is pitching a lot better lately, and Thor is going to be pumped up on Sunday night.. It wouldn't shock me if the Mets took 2 out of 3 this weekend.
