Most ridiculous thread ever and this happens every draft. It’s throwing turds at the wall to see what sticks. A college resume don’t mean anything in the NFL. Some first rounders bust big time, some UDFAs shine. Just saying everyone who things they know what they’re taking about is full of it, myself included. Carry on Thats one Saquan for you..

so they pre judged their pick for DG and then told he was wrong....ok. I guess thats a good explanation. Look I get all the chatter but as I keep saying DG and Shurmur are risking their reps and jobs with this pick, They must be very sure of it......right or wrong. That is the case for every GM and coach that take a QB in the first half of Round 1. of course it is so thats why its all radio "shock" to take other approaches.

Sorry guys but no matter how much you pound the desk, it’s still going to be a few years before we know who was right.

Carry on This thread was about him sending Odell packing for the 17th pick to start. I get it, I was mostly commenting towards all the silly replies and not to the threads topic even tho I disagree with you on it. I realize everyone has an opinion, it just boggles my mind how people think they know everything and more than our coaches and staff do. The topic changed a million times in this thread as well. In regards to our draft, we won’t know how good or bad this draft was for at least a season or 2 so people need to relax.

Ha, he’s a diff breed. I think he was one of the safest players in the last few draft years. He brings a plethora of dynamics to the offense and can be used in so many ways. People were screaming for a QB, but I think DG made a very good decision w Barkley.

As if the Redskins, whose owner took over the draft over his infatuation with Haskins against the coaching staffs advice, would admit to preferring the Giants Jones with Haskins now on their team. Come on man, nobody ever admits s**t post draft. Is this our first rodeo? Oh, and Shefter knows whatever talking heads tell him. More pure speculative BS.

I find it amusing you think everyone who is on that side of the fence is clueless, but everyone on your side of the fence is the gospel. you stick to your convictions I'll give you that. Alot of people disliked DG because they thought he was going to be a yes man and make sure Eli would be extended before retiring. Every move DG made was hated and now that he has found eli's replacement they think he's a bigger Saint than me. I trusted DG from the start and brought up the "process" before DG himself. How the FA and the draft connected like a puzzle. While you have been questioning his moves from day one and have proven that to you it isn't about Eli but about the moves he's made, I respect that. thegiantsboard.proboards.com/thread/1548/trust-process

That would actually be the best case scenario for me. It would mean we are on our way to winning more championships and being highly competitive year in year out. Thats all I care about. Im sick of this losing. Its been 7 of 8 years now. I wanted Reese gone so bad. And as for DG, he hasnt kicked Eli out yet.

Signed TheAnalyst You ****ing schmuck. You only got a 1st and 3rd and J Peppers? WTF is wrong with this man!? Trade Odell and keep Eli?! Our rebuild just got extended until 2022. Actually, Gettleman got more than I thought he would for the oft injured head case. Jabril Peppers is very good, plus a 1st and 3rd....great trade. Best part is Gettleman got rid of Odell before his value completely vanished after another injury filled season in 2019. I agree with that and would add that Peppers does more things than Collins including the return game. I would also add that off loading the Olivier Vernon (way overpaid for his contribution) in favor of a first rate RG was my favorite move this off season.

yet, on TV they are still saying we gave away Odell for $0.40 on the dollar, but not a word on the minimal value the Steelers got for Brown.

I know that Southerner is a huge anti-OBJ guy, but I actually think the Antonio Brown thing factored into the OBJ trade ... I think that there was a concern (maybe not the driving force of the trade, but a concern) that if things got real bad with OBJ to the point where they had to unload him (like the Steelers had to unload Brown), they would get very little return ....

I really don't understand why teams in general don't keep their receivers in check - especially the Steelers who have enough to win without their former star on the field. Let a no name catch a few TDs, while they think things over on the bench or even home. I realize the Giants didn't really have this luxury - but again, that's why you establish your trenches and other positions before bringing on the star receiver.

Drafted a RB at 2 Signed traded for Ogletree Omameh Solder ect Traded Odell for too little after signing him to a huge contract and now paying him to play in Cleveland Traded for Leonard Williams in a lost season for the 65ish pick and a 5th. Many other stupid moves.
This guys is killing us. Setting us back more and more years the longer he stays.
No way I trust him with the spending this offseason. Hopefully he doesnt get touched by God in the 2020 draft again.
We need a new GM and HC. Hopefully the right one. To get us back out of this funk.

Can we make that trade?
