The NY Giants were only the fourth team in league history to have a pair of RB's go over a 1000 yards each , what was the year and who were the RB's that achieved this? Jacobs Ward 2008.
Ward stayed in the Minny game just longer enough to get his 1000, week 17.

Bonus points if you can list the top 5. Strahan 141.5 LT 135.5 L. Marshall 79.5 Osi Umenyiora 75 K. Hamilton 63 Sacks became an official statistic in 1982 , players like Fred Dryer , John Mendenhall , Harry Carson and Brad VanPelt don't have stats for sacks. Even the NFL admitted that Decon Jones with the Rams would have been the all time sack king ...at least until Bruce Smith and Reggie White surpassed him. He has an un Official 173.5 sacks putting him third on the all time list .Remember he played during the 14 game seasons all so. Good work Red. Yup Deacon was a beast.

Pepper, Lawrence, Harry, Gary, Carl, Robbie, Andy?
What is lost is that one of the best group of LBER's the NFL ever saw was ,.... Harry Carson, Brad VanPelt,Brain Kelly and Jim Hughs Van Pelt was drafted by both the Giants and MLB's St. Louis Cardinals. As an enticement to play for them, the Giants offered him #10 (which I believe is the number he wore in college).
What Giants player wore #10 before him?

Correct.
Tarkenton had been traded to the Vikings, so #10 was available.

Little Super bowl knowledge that I found interesting while doing some research on the lowest scoring offenses to make it to the SB.
Since 1967-2017, these are the 15 offenses that made it to the SB while scoring the fewest points during the regular season:
1977 Broncos 274pts or 19.6 ppg
1979 Rams 323pts or 20.2 ppg
2003 Panthers 324pts or 20.3 ppg
2000 Giants 328pts or 20.5 ppg
2000 Ravens 332pts or 20.8 ppg
1990 Giants 334pts or 20.9 ppg
1982 Skins 337pts or 21.1 ppg
1973 Vikings 296pts or 21.1 ppg
1970 Cowboys 299pts or 21.4 ppg
2002 Bucs 345pts or 21.6 ppg
2003 Patriots 348pts or 21.8 ppg
1974 Vikings 310pts or 22.1 ppg
1974 Steelers 305pts or 21.8 ppg
2015 Broncos 355pts or 22.2 ppg
2007 Giants 372pts or 23.3 ppg
1967 Packers 331pts or 23.7 ppg
Giants are on that list 3x. One thing all those teams had in common was defenses that were ranked in the top 10 or higher including a few that were ranked #1 Which goes to prove that you don't always need a 30ppg O to make it to the SB but you almost always need a great D to do so & win it.

This former Giant quarterback is now an NFL head coach for one of our most hated rivals. Who is he ?
