Phil Simms, XXI, 22 for 25... best ever completion % in a SB Giant D in SB XXV Giant D in SB XLII
Manningham and Tyree were not dominant throughout their game. Otis Anderson was more influential than Hostetler in XXV. The D won the game. Otis was the best offensive player. Eli was solid, but not great in his two SB's. His pass to Tyree was a super miracle... it was escaping the rush that made the pass even possible. His pass to Manningham was as perfect as could be. Overall, however, he was just solid.

He was superb. He was superb damned near every game he ever played, and definitely deserves the Hall. Only Carson and LT, being the big two among our LB's keeps him out. One thing LT was known for was running people down from behind the LOS, running away from him. But, why could he do it? Because they had no place to turn upfield because Banks was always there, warding off blockers, keeping his feet, stringing it out, and being in the RB's eyes every time he looked for a hole to cut into. It should be noted that LT always pointed out how great Banks was, and him being the reason he could get the man from behind. Reasons was way better than people realize, too.

LT has said that the best players he’s played with in stopping the run has been Banks and Van Pelt. You weren’t running on those two side.

Anyone who doesn’t say Phil Simms forgot how great of a game he had. 22-25 with two dropped passes. Simms is in the discussion as greatest super bowl performance of all time.

I still hold fast to the notion that Tuck deserve the MVP of super bowl 42

I think these two performers are worthy - but only in my unbiased opinion.
10. Giants’ Defense, Super Bowl XXV 11. Giants’ Defense, Super Bowl XXV
PS. Thanks to OP for listing the player's positions. Without it, I wouldn't have known who these guys were.

10. Giants’ Defense, Super Bowl XXV 11. Giants’ Defense, Super Bowl XXV
I am assuming that one of these was meant to be the Offensive line, which I can't believe has not been mentioned. OJ Anderson was fantastic this game for sure.....but it was made possible by the O-Line which helped the Giants to crush the heavily favored Bills in Time-Of-Possession and keep Kelly and their high powered O off the field.

Got to have Tuck on there. Both SBs he shined. Tuck was an outstanding player but he saved his best for those 2 games and made his presence known to Brady and company.

I have no idea what the OP meant by including the same unit twice. Maybe he was chewing Doublemint at the time.

Forgot one of my favorite groups, the OL for all 4 teams some one mentioned already , the engine in the formula one car needs to recognized, this is the unit that drives the team.

Guyton and Jackson were a big reason the 90 defense was able to slow down the Bills. I'll throw them out there as deserving in that one...

At least someone here got it right... People like to dismiss Eli because the defense, but it was the offense that had to win both games. They don't talk about Simms as much because those were bad Bronco teams that Elway led to those Superbowls and they had no business being there. I think level of competition counts for something. I would count Simms as a distant #2. But whatever he did in that game can never touch what Eli accomplished against what will be known as the greatest team of all time... Twice.

Justin Tuck was the real MVP in Super Bowl XLII WE do NOT stand a chance without his constant pressure on TB12 and that offence

The oline in the last one was bad they were ancient and they still tried to squeeze a few more years out, they played better during the run sans the san fran championship game.
