Much more likely it is one of the best moves we have ever made.
Addition by subtraction and addition by addition.

Might be might not be. Short term it definitely is going to effect the giants. Especially how thin we are at WR. Long term? Nobody really knows.

Much more likely it is one of the best moves we have ever made. Addition by subtraction and addition by addition. Other than the fact that the trade took the fear factor out of our passing game that teams have to account for and we didnt replace.. Maybe next year when we take either of the kids from Alabama or CeeDee Lamb and we Re a dynamic top offense to compliment a young attacking defense I can get on board with this idea

This might be a bit of a stretch, biggest mistake ever? First we have to wait and see, I think we all agree. But seriously it is not like we were killing it with him here. He played 5 seasons here. We were 6-10, 6-10, 11-5, 3-13 and 5-11. That is a terrible 5 year stretch. I am in no way blaming him, I don't think it was his fault. The fact remains though we were not good with him here, so there was no sense in keeping him here. Sometimes you have to make a change and that's what we did.
Contrast this with Ruth who in 5 years in Boston helped them win the World Series 3 times and was runner up in the AL another year. They had 5 very good years with Ruth when they traded him to the Yankees. As talented as I think Odell is he will be hard pressed to beat out most of Rice's records, meanwhile Ruth sent a shit ton of MLB batting records.
All we have to do now is win and none of it will matter.

This kid is still not over it...wow
Mentally weak person.. It will be so easy for opposing secondaries to get into this kids head..Now pair this with that other kid, Mayfield..he plans to yell at Odell a lot this season..Why? no clue.. Maybe he thinks it would be cool..
In the meantime, enjoy the show...

for folks still scratching their heads re: Odell, watch this interview. when Chris Carter asks him how he will build on his rookie season under his belt!. Mr.Beckam could not put together sentences with such clarity, and a team first attitude like this kid! I for one am so pleased! we need to be ever thankful!!

This guy has thrown the gauntlet. He has spoke his mind. He is not a Giant now and has shown himself to have I in Team . Bipolar people tend to need chaos. Mark my words, Eli was actually a good calming force for him whether he thinks so or not. I expect a major blow up with Mayfield within a year or 2. Mayfield is a completely different personality. If things go south soon over there. Fireworks will fly.

Nope. In the long history of this franchise trading 1 prima Donna receiver isn’t going to cut it for biggest mistake. Actually a bigger mistake was a more important Giant receiver not properly securing his gun in the club. That receiver actually helped us win a Super Bowl and was a great benefit to Eli instead of a petulant little child who threw his hands in the air every time he didn’t get a pass he thought he deserved.

OB should continue to perform great because he has been since day one. Its not like he was just "ok" on the Giants. So basically OB is just saying I am going to continue to be a top WR in the NFL. He wasn't traded because of his production on the field. Even OB doesn't get it!!!...lol

But he wasnt happy which I get and he seemed to want out so he's gone. Would rather not have an unhappy OB. That would not be a good thing. If the Giants happen to play better football overall and win more games the I guess it wasnt so bad. Time will tell.

I dont blame him for not wanting to be on a rebuilding team. His time is now. After the paid him huge money and he had the dumb interview on ESPN with his idiot rapper next to him Mara did the right thing. He was slapping the org right in the face. Bottom line and getting back to the point is the if OB doesnt perform great in the Cleveland will be way more of a surprise than if/when he does.

Going back to the trade, I was not on board for it but once it happened it becomes "life after OBJ" and I wished him well. So I have moved on...
For him to keep focusing on what the Giants did becomes now "what ever dude" and talk does nothing at this point
He needs to let his performance do the talking this season... then the "we should have never traded posts start flying" till then he needs to prove it on the field on play and stop talking... either way he is not a Giant or our problem

Or he wanted to stay and complain. And then deal with a new young QB. Maybe he didn't think he wanted out but he probably implied it. And needed it.

But i dont think he wanted out. the giants took to long to move on , and thats why we saw the interview with lil wayne to sort of hint it to the org. i think this is best for him . id be happy if i was him after the intial shock he is in a much better scenario right now.
