Time will tell.
BTW Landon Collins is not the only person that said such a thing. Ask most of this board and they agreed with him before the draft. The list is very small of pre-draft Jones believers.

I admit I was against not the player but where they selected him back in April and I wasn't really on board with passing on Josh Allen but I am fully prepared to eat some humble crow pie and I am ALL ABOARD the DJ train and have been for some time now OBJ emoji

Yeah it's good to see Jones do good and win more people over. There will be people kicking and screaming even if Jones wins a Super Bowl. I remember in 2008 people still saying "we could have had Merriman" lmao.

Others will get it raw and forced down their throats.

He started it, I am just following up.
I need an update Landon.

I did not want Jones.
I hopped on the train as soon as we picked him though and hoped for the best.
Can't think of anything else that I would be as happy to be wrong about.

Very glad we passed up Haskins. Did not want a QB in this draft but if Jones is the real deal then we're set for the next decade.

I agree....he is a moron... But let's not declare Haskins a bust yet either I posted a clip in the NFL section..he also made some really good throws as well.. What we are seeing is how much more advanced and pro ready Jones is compared to Haskins..and probably (hopefully)how many of the bedroom scouts badly underestimated how good Jones is and will be

Haskins is not a bust yet. I was just giving Collins the business for being too interested in chirping at his former employer. viewed that as a cheap shot at Jones who clearly won round 1.

'sup Landon? Not sure what you're basing this on......One preseason game? Actually the one preseason game confirmed everything that we've heard since OTA's... Now conversely Haskins performance confirmed everything they'd been saying about him... Does that mean anything in the long run...nope. But it's very encouraging. That being said... didn't Davis Webb tear it up in a preseason game last season?

Just tweaking him. You, like I don't have time to read entire threads (I hope) Somewhere in here, I explained that Collins took a cheap shot at our QB with no knowledge of what Jones could do. The assessment of Haskins was before he even saw him in camp. It was a lazy (and transparent) shot at his former employer..
I was just giving him the business, which he certainly earned.
I also went on to say that Haskins might very well turn out to be good. Way too early to say.

I didn't see the game. But I did see a summation of all the key plays on FB.
Jones made some solid NFL throws. Webb? Who's he?
But as for Haskins... He's had one year as a starter in college...where he was tremendous. But he's probably the kind of guy that will need some time. Jones has had more experience, especially with a pro style offense. But I have no reason to think that Haskins won't be a very good NFL QB. He actually made some really good throws last night but also one bone head pass. It's all a learning process.

The list is very small of pre-draft Jones believers. Most of the pre draft Jones people were NFL talent evaluators that study him and some film Junkies, in the meantime Haskins had another so so showing going 50% completion one TD and most throws were scatter shot at best tight windows forget it.

Smart hard working really good kid I think coaching is a real option for him it's year 3 and he can't get that cannon on target.

Haskins might turn out to be fine he needs some work for sure I watched last night some and his highlights from the game he seemed to be off on most of his throws, missed a lot of open throws went 50% 1 TD he was not good in tight window throws and even some of the ones he hit were not good placement.

I was one who was always on board with a change at QB since I felt Eli was beginning show strong signs of running down for some time, the Eli loyalists felt it was all the fault of the O Line, not true, it is what it is and there is no shame involved in getting older...
