If you look at the snipet you put up there he all so could have "dumped it off to the open back in the middle of the field or I see a defender in the endzone to the left in position to make a play on the balleven to the wide open receiver split out on the top left If he went through his reads. It would have been the proper choice. He did not . He had the time to do so. He was looking that way the whole time. It shows his inexperience. A good Safety would have read his eyes. I see a defender in the endzone running to cover the receiver to the left in position to make a play on the ball. Safer bet I think to throw where the defender has his back to the ball.

I think we should definitely continue to analyze every single move DJ makes with intense scrutiny. Because it's not insane or anything. people better find a different play because he executed this play perfectly What? There was an entire half of the stadium he didn't make eye contact with. Failure on his part. Never once turned around to look the other direction.

We've done that to Eli for 15 years now. I disagree. There were plenty of things to question about Eli's play over the years. A perfectly executed TD pass was never one of those things.

I'm not condoning it, just that I expect it.

Eli sucks. That perfect TD pass to Plax in the Super Bowl was awful. Jacobs was wide open on the other side of the field. Should have went through his progression.

So you're saying no one ever question a TD pass by Eli? Find one. I dare you. No one ever questioned A perfectly executed TD pass by Eli. . I blame this whole thing on Cris Carter's desperate attempt to defend his trashing of DJ. Cris knows damn well what the play was, he knows damn well 90% of the starting strong safeties in the league cant defend the sideline or pile-on in cover 2 let alone cover a WR 1v1. The soft spot in cover 2 is the sideline beyond the corners zone! Cris is just buttsore that his boy Haskins had a bad day. As bad as Haskins was, he still displayed more timing and rhythm than Sam Darnold ever did. You wanna scrutinize someone? How about Sam Darnold mistaking zone coverage for man coverage on his almost intercepted pass. There is a reason why Peppers said he didnt expect Sam to throw the pass. You dont throw a flat vs cover 2...its what cover 2 was designed to beat.

Darnold did not throw an INT because of his rocket laser arm strength and Jones' pass should have been intercepted which is why he should have dumped it to someone else instead of throwing a TD pass. Every QB draft in 2018 > Haskins > Jones. /redfont

DJ mentioned this too in his interviews. He said he made Gallamn's job harder on that play but that Gallman picked it up and bailed him out...lol Yup ,I like the kid he seems to have it all . He'll learn alot sitting behind Eli . I bet he is a lot like Eli prior to being drafted.

I bet he is a lot like Eli prior to being drafted. He has handle everything like a pro I respect him for that ,his parents did a good job! Archie and Olivia...or are you talking about Jones?
I'm getting a little confused with this Giants QB hate, please specify at the beginning of your post which QB you hate (Jones, Eli, Both). Thank you.

From what I hear Jones' Dad is contacting Haskins' Dad to see what he needs to to start "branding" Daniel. I mean you have to have a brand to be successful right? Or actually you need a brand right away just in case you dont become successful. Get as much money up front...

He also had a RB underneath but I like the fact that he took a shot there. It's going to be a learning process but hopefully we'll see more playing time from him soon so he can go through his progressions.

I agree.
He should have checked it down.

He was going through his progressions (quickly), saw the receiver getting open, threw with anticipation and accuracy. Running at that point would gain 5 yards at most (with no. 1s). Would be counterproductive and open himself to injury. He did miss the open guy on the left side of the field but thats due to inexperience. Will get better over time. Overall a very nice play by DJ

he executed the play exactly the way they teach it. He was reading the corner What the corner did determined where he goes with the ball Nah.....he should have checked down and gotten us in field goal range like his predecessor. I agree. That is how things are done around here.
He will learn.

I’m hoping that for Friday’s game that Eli will get a quarter with the starting Oline and then when Jones gets in that he gets a quarter with the starting Oline.

I agree.

People are trolling TEM for his comments but he has some merit. Last year, Eli threw a pick in the endzone vs Philly and everyone was piling on him for not checking down to Barkley. The TD pass worked this time so everyone is excited. I don't have any issues with TEM's concerns. As a matter of fact everyone should be hoping Jones doesn't become a 1 read QB. One series is a small sample size to jump to any conclusions though. I want to see him get more playing time the next few games so he can build that experience. He won't have flawless pass protection every time like he had last week.
