“He’s got a little bit of something going on but we expect him back pretty soon,’’ Kitchens said. OBJ has been held out 6 times in 15 practices for all or most of the 11-on-11 periods, and he DNP in the preseason opener. Beckham skipped most of the voluntary off season workouts. The Browns, are unconcerned about Beckham getting up to speed and on the same page with Baker Mayfield. “I think he’ll be ready to go mentally,’’ Kitchens said. “He’s ready to go mentally. We’ve got to wait and get him ready to go physically, but he’ll be there.”
Coach sounds confident...

“He’s ready to go mentally," is not what you want to hear about OBJ.

Yikes. Kitchens fired around mid-season.
Counting down...100-99-98-97-96-95...

I read in the NY Post yesterday that OBJ and his sneaker company are suing one another, then later in the day heard he was dealing with a hip pointer which later became a hip injury and I thought to myself, what a relief to be rid of him.

So who leaves (gets booted) Cleveland first? Beckham or Kitchens?.. Probably Kitchens ....think he is in over his head McAdoo II. The question is whether the huge amount of talent on that roster will make it not matter. Or whether the huge egos on that roster make it melt down. Will be interesting to watch how it works out.

Mayfield is not going to be silent if he doesn't like what's going on. Yes, this may get very, very interesting....

Interesting point. I wonder where OBJ goes in my draft next week... He won't be taken by me. I don't know how to account for his erratic condition and infrequent play. I like my numbers smooth in fantasy football, as predictable as possible. That usually gets me to the playoffs in my league.

If Mayfield as a second year player puts his foot down, he elevates himself as a leader and long term that is great news for the Browns. Adversity defines leaders, NOT who has the best TD celebration.

Understand that this is a guy (OBJ) who missed a bunch of OTAs and thinks it is a good idea to be trading lawsuits with his sneaker company during training camp.
This is not the mark of a guy who is all in for winning in a serious way.

Cancerous player.
I question all his injuries after last year. Oh, preseason? Practices? Camp? Dont like whats going on? Perfect time to have some injuries.

Odell is going to singlehandedly win a few games for you so that is OK. Good luck with Luck and with your season!
BTW, I pick #1 in my league and it could be Barkley.

Well, well, we’ll....the porcelain head case is hurt again. No surprise here as he couldn’t make it through training camp. The Browns will learn something when Odell invariably misses a slew of games this season.

jomo you know I love you but c'mon...really? Beckham is gonna singlehandedly win a few games for you? Just like he's never done ever? We can acknowledge that he's a great player without giving him phony superpowers, no?

as much as he's a major PIA I still think they win 10 or 11 and make the playoffs. But there will be drama along the way...

It’s always something with this guy He's soft. I said that in another thread, but instead you defended OBJ by saying that he had more toughness in his pinky toe than I did and then called me an internet dough-boy or something. Anyway, OBJ knows he's soft. That is why he uses excuses to get out of practices and all pre-season action. I don't think he is arrogant in terms of believing that practice and meaningless games are beneath him. I believe he is generally concerned about his health. The best part about it? I no longer care since he is not our problem anymore.

So who leaves (gets booted) Cleveland first? Beckham or Kitchens?.. Usually, the guy who is paid the least gets the boot.
However, if your last name is Manning, the other guy always gets the boot.
