Good thing I read the post and not just the title. I was curious why everyone cared about Beckham’s kitchen?

Ahh ya gotta love coach speak...
Its like saying; "Well, she just a midge pregnant" or... "Just a bit of cancer, nothing to really worry about"

I read in the NY Post yesterday that OBJ and his sneaker company are suing one another, then later in the day heard he was dealing with a hip pointer which later became a hip injury and I thought to myself, what a relief to be rid of him. If he misses time this year he will officially be injury prone.

I would agree but there are a lot of people who turn a blind eye to the fact that as great as he is when on the field his availability should be counted into it because we are talking games with 0 production. That was more for the folks that don't see as a big deal.

Is it like a concert when your favorite band can't do the date do they reschedule or refund the money for the games that WIM can't appear you know Woe Is Me.

I do not think OBJ realizes how critical this season is for him . Either he is going to be a top 5 receiver in the league or he is going to feel the media pain. They put him on a mountain just to kick him down to the curb.

“He’s got a little bit of something going on but we expect him back pretty soon,’’ Kitchens said. OBJ has been held out 6 times in 15 practices for all or most of the 11-on-11 periods, and he DNP in the preseason opener. Beckham skipped most of the voluntary off season workouts. The Browns, are unconcerned about Beckham getting up to speed and on the same page with Baker Mayfield. “I think he’ll be ready to go mentally,’’ Kitchens said. “He’s ready to go mentally. We’ve got to wait and get him ready to go physically, but he’ll be there.”
Coach sounds confident...
Beckhams going to have a great season. Why would any of us Giant fans doubt this. If anything Mayfield has a stronger arm than Eli and will be able to reach Odell better than Eli could. If Odell was still on our team we would all be calling for 90-110 receptions, 12-15 TD's, and 1200-1500 yds. He'll have a monster year he's a great receiver no matter who he plays for. He was the greatest receiver the Giants ever had.

And quite frankly, I'm not as interested in stats compared to performance when it counts. Toomer, Nicks, and Cruz showed up when it mattered. Unfortunately, Odell has had only one chance so far to prove he can show up for the big game, and he didn't. Unless he gets that chance again and this time proves it, well, what's the point? He's great in regular season games? LOL....

He opened the Giant passing game for others to be one on one in coverage. In zone Beckham was the focus. Lets not deny what he brought to the offense just because he's not here any more.
Don I will tell you the only receiver I remember that had the same impact as Beckham in his day was Homer Jones. I did watch him play as I was growing up in the early 60's with Y.A. Tittle. Del Shofner might come close also, same era.
Maybe we disagree but I don't feel any receiver long term or short ever was as great as Beckham. Of course just my opinion.
