Alonzo Russell plays hard. He stopped a touchdown last game with hustle. He absolutely needs to make this team.
And Corey Ballantine looks fantastic out there. What a good player he is. Stupar is awful.
I agree on Russell. His hustle is impressive. It's been a difference maker in 2 games at this point. And yes it looked like Stupar was in a stupor.

OTOH if Lawrence is available to us in 2 years I’d have to think about it. I feel like the only person on earth not blown away by the kid. Don't get me wrong, he played well....let's see him do it for more than 1 year before sending him to Canton. JR year is a long way away for that kid. And rightfully so. He was only 18 at the start of last season, But for an 18 year old I was impressed.

This doesn't look like a 6-10 team. Agreed, with an emphasis on "TEAM". I sense a cohesive organization. Not sure if it's Barkley taking on a leadership role, the outside world laughing at the Jones pick, moving on from Beckham, or just Shurmur's coaching but they look tight. Honestly, have any of us seen our NYGs so energized during pre season games like this?

I am not knocking him at all, just saying I'm not ready to draft him #1 overall based on 1 season. The world is making this kid out to be Peyton Manning.

Eli has a ton of zip on his ball They said he was doing some baseball training thing this off season. I thought it was BS but I really think there is a difference. Jones has some real zip on his ball as well. It was funny when Lauletta and his noodle arm finally got in the game and the announcers talked about the difference haha. I think we should keep Lauletta though. Jones can still develop more arm strength if he feels it will help as long as the accuracy stays straight. Lauletta should do what Eli did he has some real upside if if he can get that #9 vermicelli a little stronger, if anyone is wondering that is pasta.
