“I think Coach Shurmur’s done a great job down there, really returning to fundamentals, basics, and you can certainly see that in their play in all three phases of the game.”

Belichick has always had a warm spot for the Giants. As for Shurmur, I won't go that far to what Bill said, but the one thing that is clear he has his team playing like a team. And they're playing hard for him.

The one that got away. Id like to wormhole to a parallel universe and see what this team would be like if BB became the HC in the 90s. He would be 40 years with the organization and having countless amounts of rings and power.

The jets had no choice. They gave him the job and rejected them for NE. BB's job was in jeopardy as well in 2001 but Brady and the bs tuck rule saved his job and tbe rest is history. BB hasnt had a losing season since his 1st title and we are in 2019. How freaking insane is that??

It was the Browns. Everyone is a failure. In fact, the last time the Browns were a playoff team was under Belichick so I wouldn't say it was a complete failure, it's just the Browns. You watch, they will Brown this window up too.

That is how I see it as well. Failure and adversity in Cleveland probably taught him a lot. I wonder what was going on in Jets land that had him bolt the way he did. It was pretty classless on his part, as I recall, but if it is raining shit, most don't worry about appearances when they run for cover. Feel free to make that last thing I wrote a saying by repeating it often so people will quote it to "anonymous" years from now.

I thought he got totally undermined when they announced the move to Baltimore. The team pretty much imploded after that.

And they're playing hard for him. Not totally disagreeing just making a point here. They don’t need to play hard for him specifically, his job is safe no matter what. They are playing Hungry and look like they want to compete. They are playing for the name on the back of their Jerseys and the Team This is so refreshing to see. I am truly a believer in the direction we are heading

Well, he left the Borwns, or got fired, in 1996, and the Ravens won in 2001, so Id say not much. Maybe an impact on some of the players.

Believe me I too think that would be absolutely great. But BB is what 69 or 70. My own opinion no proof just what I think is that once Brady retires Belichick goes with him.

But Kurt Warner said Daniel Jones is going to be nothing special, kind of like Andy Dalton, so I don't care what Belichick thinks. Remember, this is KURT WARNER. I mean hello!!

And they're playing hard for him. I'm convinced Parcells waited until Belichick took another job to retire. Belichick should have been this team's coach since 1991. Would've been the modern day Landry.

I'm more impressed with DG..... I say that assuming he's calling the shots with off-season moves. I do think Pat's schemes will fit this team though. Interchangeable WRs, "versatile" rb, solid TEs......we fit the script. The offense should work.

I wanted Allen and Lawrence. Still love that combo. I did not want Jones in the first, period. Hated the pick. I compared him to Finley. Go Pack. The kid looks good. Even if it is preseason, or even if he doesn't start a down in 2019, he's exceeded my expectations. Don't mind eating that.
