Ok..... and we listened to his recommendation? Why? probably because on his worst day he has still forgotten more about football than every fan and member of the Giants organization has ever and will ever know.

And I didn’t put it in red. But you gotta admit not a lot of people would say Shurmur did a really good job here

You have to wonder, Why bellichick didnt mind losing him. Belichick is going to replace him at 1/3 the salary with a special teams coach from a D-3 school.

You have to wonder, Why bellichick didnt mind losing him. Belichick is going to replace him at 1/3 the salary with a special teams coach from a D-3 school. He's replacing Brady with Andy Dalton. Let's see how that works out.

You have to wonder, Why bellichick didnt mind losing him. He was going to lose Judge regardless. It was either Miss St or the Giants. He promoted him this season for double duty so he'd be able to get an interview. If Bill didn't mind losing Judge, he wouldn't have made him a coordinator of two units

Quick question. That Cleveland Browns team became Baltimore Ravens. How much influence, if any, did Coach Bellichek have in regard to what that team became that won SuperBowl? Well, he left the Borwns, or got fired, in 1996, and the Ravens won in 2001, so Id say not much. Maybe an impact on some of the players. The one thing he did do in CLE successfully was what he was best at back then. He built a very solid defense and a tough hard nose defensive culture. He brought a few of his Giant players there to help him build that culture there. It’s possible that was the genesis for the great defensive culture that still exists in BALT. Perhaps he was not advanced enough to at the time on the offensive side of the ball to fully succeed there.

The one that got away. Id like to wormhole to a parallel universe and see what this team would be like if BB became the HC in the 90s. He would be 40 years with the organization and having countless amounts of rings and power. I was in boot camp when the whole Jets thing went down and I was super disappointed we didn't have BB as the heir apparent to the Tuna.

The Jets have let a lot of good coaches/players slip thru their butter fingers since the 90s. They could have had Marino instead they picked a RB I believe. Ken O'Brein(who actually wasn't bad if you remember...his problem was that he was picked instead of Marino) But letting Pete Carroll go after one year because Leon Hess had to rush to hire Rich Kotite That pretty much sums up the Jets since 1969 As an Alum I am a massive Coach Pete fan. His enthusiasm is infectious.

You have to wonder, Why bellichick didnt mind losing him. Belichick didn’t really like him at all (despite the fact he employed him for multiple years) and duped the Giants into hiring him. He wanted to keep McDaniels, but he let him interview with the Browns, who desperately need a HC. This makes complete sense

He wanted to keep McDaniels, but he let him interview with the Browns, who desperately need a HC. This makes complete sense im sure he likes him to have him as a coach for all those years. I just think he might value McDaniels more. Harder to replace. From what I understand you can't block a cord having an interview with another team as long as its for a possible promotion. ( cord to hc . or position coach to cord)

This makes complete sense I wanted to interview McDanield because I am a no stone unturned kind of guy. Not sure what he would have to say to get me to believe in him, but I would want to hear it. Mara didn’t seem to need to
