....now that I'm here! Hello Giants fans, former Giants.com members, and new members! Who is ready for another season of Giants Football?! Lets get into it! Go Giants! Just some quick thoughts on tonight's game - I mostly will be watching the OL to see what they can do. It isn't the end all be all in the first preseason game of the year, but I think we can still get a good idea on how they will preform. Mostly, I'm excited to watch my boy Willy Hern power his way on the left side. Dude is a BEAST and wont be pushed around. Interested to see the 2 new guys, Solder and Omameh. I think we over spent on Solder, since to me he is pretty average, but it was obvious we needed a LT and he will be an upgrade from Flowers, not that that is saying much. As for Omameh, living down here in Jags country, I hear a lot about him. Everything ranging from "The Giants are starting him?" to "He will be a solid addition". Who knows, but he will be better than Jerry. My concerns for this line are Jones at C and Flowers at RT. Obviously Flowers isnt a good tackle when trying to stop pass rushers, but Im glad they are trying him at a new spot before dropping him although Id rather see him at G. As for Jones, I always felt like he is a backup starting. More power than Richburg, but not as good a center if that makes sense. Anyways, they will be blocking for the new toy, Saquon "Say Gone!" Barkley. Bark will bring a new level to our run game. He will also be an immediate threat on the dump off passes / screens, something I feel is his biggest strength. As long as Eli can get it to him (heehee), he should be great. Still my only concern with him is his ability to push a pile in the middle when we get clogged at the line. He isnt Elliot or Gurley in that way. But if he gets an opening, he is explosive. Cant wait to see him take some hand offs tonight. I also cant wait to see Baker Mayfield against this defense. Baker was my favorite QB (until he went to the Browns). I will also be watching our new defense and how we dial up blitzes. Obviously we wont go all out but I think we can get a good idea on the schemes and talent in the new system. Lorenzo Carter I am really excited to see play. I think he can excel in this defense. Also, interested to see who steps up in the secondary. Besides Jenkins, its wide open IMO. Who/ what will you guys be watching most tonight? GO GIANTS

I knew I'd be here at some point. That point is today, with the (pre)season officially kicking off. Glad your here. From what I can see just about all the main posters from the old boards are here!! Gurley 6'1 & 224 Elliott 6'0 & 228 Fournette 6'0 & 228 Barkley 6'0 & 234 He gives up an inch to Gurley but weighs more then all of them. I think he is more then capable of moving a pile with those tree trunk legs to get a tough yard if needed

Not saying thats a bad thing or that he wont ever run over a DB or LB though. Hopefully it helps him stay on the field more and have a longer career.

If you can fake someone out and get around him without contact it probably should extend your career. However I don't think by any means Barkley is afraid of contact and has run people over when needed Look at his top 10 plays in one of the threads posted here. #1 play he broke 4 or so tackles on way to td

Welcome aboard.... Depth.....that’s what I want to see out of this preseason. Also lots and lots of Webb depth is always a big concern, but this team has some really gaping holes depthwise. No cap space to fill them either. Health is crucial to this team it appears, but hopefully we see if there are some budding guys who can fill in and be serviceable in a pinch.

I particularly like the "All things Eli" section. Sometimes half the threads on the other boards would be actual or morphing or stealth Eli threads. It was deadly picking through it all.
