I think we might be in Chase young territory after today

6: R1P6 OT ANDREW THOMAS GEORGIA If he is there at this point and Chase Young is gone, then it is a no brainer IMO. You deny phone calls and you rush to the stage with the pick selection. Extremely talented and productive LT. Solder has been a supreme disappointment and seeing the way Jones is vulnerable to the strip sack, we desperately need to solidify the OL once and for all. This should really help Saquon out as well, who looks like he is clearly banged up still. 38: R2P6 EDGE CURTIS WEAVER BOISE STATE I think Edge rusher is a big need for the team, so does basically everyone else. We weren't able to get Chase Young in round one. I like Weaver a lot, he's not Chase Young, not even close, but few in the world are, but Weaver is a really solid player who can fit in and make plays with this young defense. He was 300+ lbs and lost 50 lbs to become a really effective edge rusher for Boise State. The guy plays hard and can use speed/quickness along with strength to beat guys off the edge. I like his game.
98: R3P34 S ANTOINE WINFIELD MINNESOTA Crazy that I am in my mid-20's and am seeing sons of NFL players that I watched make it to the NFL. Winfield is a stud. TRUE ballhawk at the safety position. Him and Peppers would be a hell of tandem at the S position. Watching Bethea get roasted week after week has been extremely hard to watch, but Winfield would add another playmaker on this defense. He is a heck of a player.
112: R4P6 LB TROY DYE OREGON He is a fun player to watch. He might be a little small compared to what you would want for your ideal LB in the NFL, but he makes plays. Hell, after watching Olgetree and our LB's for what seems like forever, we could use some speed at the LB position. I think him and Connely would make a really fun LB duo who can make plays over the field. Maybe we will be able to cover a TE for the first time in recent memory.
150: R5P6 OT YASIR DURANT MISSOURI He plays LT for Mizzou and he is REALLY solid. He has the least amount of pressures given up in the SEC from what I remember. In the 5th round it would be really hard to find better value I think. Maybe he can slide in at RT or he would be incredible depth at LT. I think he would be able to make the transition to RT, I am sick of the Solder and Remmers pair at the tackle positions. Remmers hasn't been as bad as Solder, but he is not the solution. Being able to potentially walk away with two really solid OT's in a draft would be amazing 184: R6P6 WR ANTONIO GANDY-GOLDEN LIBERTY This guy is really an intriguing player I stumbled into when watching random games. After the game I immediately went to youtube and it seemed like it wasn't a fluke and he plays like this often. He is a huge WR, which we could use a WR with some size. With the health and status of Shepard up in the air, we should be looking at the position certainly. I really like Slayton and what he brings to the team. Tate and/or Shepard are really solid out of the slot, so we could use another WR on the outside. I think Gandy-Golden is a really interesting player to look at late.
219: R7P6 TE C.J. O'GRADY ARKANSAS He is a really solid TE out of Arkansas who is a really really bad football team. I would assume that Engram would be someone they would want to keep on the team long-term, but you never know and he has showed that it may be hard for him to play a whole 16 game season. O'Grady has really good hands, and is extremely tough to bring down when he has the ball. He runs HARD. More of an old school TE, who could be a good replacement for Ellison at the least.
243: R7P30 EDGE ALEX HIGHSMITH CHARLOTTE Another edge rusher pick, I have heard good things about Highsmith, although I haven't watched much of him tbh. Depth on the DL and for pass rushers is never a bad thing 247: R7P34 C JORDAN JOHNSON CENTRAL FLORIDA He has been all-conference multiple times on a pretty good central Florida team. I am not convinced Halapio/Pulley are the answer, so maybe someone like Johnson could beat them out. Ideally we could get a center earlier who can be immediately inserted in the starting lineup. 253: R7P40 RB SALVON AHMED WASHINGTON Really explosive player. Could use some depth at the RB position. We saw what happened when Barkley and Gallman went down... Absolute nightmare. He can be used in the return game and he can be used on occasion on offense and could really break something. He is a fun player to watch.
255: R7P42 DL KHALIL DAVIS NEBRASKA I've watched him a good amount of times and he makes a good amount of plays. I was struggling trying to find guys with all of these 7th round picks lol. Depth pick, maybe bumps someone like Olsen Pierre or RJ Macintosh out of the rotation

He was like 7th or so on the big board and liked him more than the edge rushers ahead of him. Honestly thought about going OT OT in rounds one and two lol

Why are we not at 3 on this?
The usual in GM mode Signed Conklin and Byron jones, retained Golden and William's
Both Young and Thomas were gone so I bailed and got a bunch more picks with 2 trades down

Rankings; NFL Diamonds
3: R1P3 OT ANDREW THOMAS GEORGIA 35: R2P3 C LLOYD CUSHENBERRY LSU 98: R3P34 WR SAGE SURRATT WAKE FOREST 109: R4P3 WR DEVONTA SMITH ALABAMA 147: R5P3 LB CHAZZ SURRATT NORTH CAROLINA 181: R6P3 EDGE TIPA GALEA'I UTAH STATE 216: R7P3 OT YASIR DURANT MISSOURI 240: R7P27 S JORDAN FULLER OHIO STATE 247: R7P34 TE MITCHELL WILCOX SOUTH FLORIDA 253: R7P40 EDGE BIG KAT BRYANT AUBURN 255: R7P42 CB LAMAR JACKSON NEBRASKA
We fix the OL with the best LT, arguably the 2nd best C, in addition we get a player who is oozing with potential and talent in Durant We get 2 totally different WRs back to back, a polished route runner and a big bodies physical bully We get a pass rush specialist and an ILB who has range and shoots the gaps as well as blitzes We get a safety who is more than proficient as a deep high safety We get a TE who is like a healthy Engram We get a player who has all the athletic ability but none of the experience in Bryant We get a CB who is a big, tough back who is a hell of a run supporter but not great in man coverage... possible safety candidate

Updated draft board and order
So until further notice I'm still signing Conklin and Jones,so we have a RT and a Lock down corner for the young secondary And resigning Golden and Williams Miami has the 5th pick so it's a bit dangerous to trade back with the Jets lurking between, but I'm only trading back if both Thomas and Young are there
5: R1P5 EDGE CHASE YOUNG OHIO STATE
Slightly ahead of Thomas for the non unicorn prospects...with the addition of Jones to anchor the secondary and bringing back William's and Golden, this defense is instantly a top 10 on paper
22: R1P22 WR CEEDEE LAMB OKLAHOMA
Yeah I passed on Simmons,I would be banished for life on BBV for passing on a sacred beezer, but Young is such a total one man upgrade that I can concentrate on offense for a while on a BPA manner,as Jones is a priority to surround with talent, especially with the future of Shepard in the air. And it so happens my draft crush fell into my lap,add him to Slayton,Tate,Engram and Barkley this is now a lethal group once I add a ton of recourses to the O line
37: R2P5 OT ALARIC JACKSON IOWA
Can season for a year behind Soldier and push him for a job.
46: R2P14 C LLOYD CUSHENBERRY LSU
Your 2020 instant upgrade at C
52: R2P20 RB CLYDE EDWARDS-HELAIRE LSU
After watching him against Alabama I want this guy on this team, the perfect compliment to Barkley without the team skipping a best
98: R3P34 OT CALVIN THROCKMORTON OREGON
More actual good depth at T,yeah I signed Conklin but why not BPA ...good football players are good football players
109: R4P3 LB JACOB PHILLIPS LSU
Some inside LB depth with speed
147: R5P3 LB ZACH BAUN WISCONSIN
A Connally clone with more athletic ability
181: R6P3 WR JAMES PROCHE SMU
One of my hidden dynamic WR guys I've found that could be dominant..think Hakeem Nicks with top end speed.
216: R7P3 S ERIC LEE JR. NEBRASKA 240: R7P27 CB MIKE HAMPTON SOUTH FLORIDA 247: R7P34 TE COLE KMET NOTRE DAME 253: R7P40 C GAGE CERVENKA CLEMSON 255: R7P42 QB STEVEN MONTEZ COLORADO
TRADES TRADE PARTNER: CHICAGO BEARS SENT: ROUND: 2 PICK: 3 FUTURE ROUND 2 PICK RECEIVED: ROUND: 2 PICK: 14 ROUND: 2 PICK: 20 TRADE PARTNER: MIAMI DOLPHINS SENT: ROUND: 1 PICK: 3 RECEIVED: ROUND: 1 PICK: 5 ROUND: 1 PICK: 22 ROUND: 2 PICK: 5
I think I made out OK with these trades and players picked

Ultimate GM Resigned Golden and William's Signed Byron Jones and Jake Conklin
Went a bit trade crazy especially round 2 because I wasn't really feeling what was sitting there at the time of my pick and seeing what was available later in the 2nd and in the 3rd..
Can't say I didnt do enough to adress the O line,WR or linebackers, lol(looks like I have a major surplus of OTs here

Can't say I didnt do enough to adress the O line,WR or linebackers, lol(looks like I have a major surplus of OTs here R1P5 OT ANDREW THOMAS GEORGIA 22: R1P22 EDGE K'LAVON CHAISSON LSU 43: R2P11 C CREED HUMPHREY OKLAHOMA 50: R2P18 OT PRINCE TEGA WANOGHO AUBURN 75: R3P11 RB CLYDE EDWARDS-HELAIRE LSU 78: R3P14 S ANTOINE WINFIELD MINNESOTA 82: R3P18 TE COLBY PARKINSON STANFORD 84: R3P20 WR JUSTIN JEFFERSON LSU 98: R3P34 WR JALEN REAGOR TCU 103: R3P39 OT CALVIN THROCKMORTON OREGON 109: R4P3 LB ZACH BAUN WISCONSIN 147: R5P3 DL MUSTAFA JOHNSON COLORADO 181: R6P3 WR JAMES PROCHE SMU 216: R7P3 G STEVEN GONZALEZ PENN STATE 240: R7P27 CB MIKE HAMPTON SOUTH FLORIDA 247: R7P34 WR MICHAEL PITTMAN JR. I can't ever seem to get Young to fall back to me to do the trade down scenario A bit offense heavy again, not a bad thing when you have a rookie qb entering his 2nd year Lamb at 21 is a no brainer Reagor in the 5th...hruh Completely built line adding Lamb and Reagor to Slayton,Engram and Barkley? That is insane speed .

GL is correct, it's like your wife just allowed two lady porn stars in the bedroom with her...what was fun is now overwhelming ...yes, at my age mock drafting is orgasmic And ppl think I'm weird (actually thats not the adjective they use...) My wife is filipino...when I was working over in southeast asia and we were living together, she discovered football the hard way. I was watching the Giants at 1 AM, coffee...had the head phones on. The Giants scored in a close game and I screamed touchdown...woke her up. The next day she posts on her facebook that she does not know what football is, but touchdown things are ruining her sleep. Just to add to this GM thing on this upgraded draft, have no fears fellow Giant fans...I now have the cap situation under control...and all free agent decisions are within my power, and I am sending in my offers for players who want to be here, have work ethic and fill important voids. We are headed in the right direction, and that silly non trade back by taking a running back at 2 of all places would never of happened under my watch... This thing is VERY addictive...a latest greatest draft with trades. The Dolphins have not offered anything for the 3 pick...really hate to pass on Young, but Thomas has slipped back to 12. Trying to stock up on 2's and 3's...maybe two 1st rounders. I went two top state wrestlers here on OL...after watching Pouncey come to his QB's defense (he should have his fine paid for by the team and fans), I want a UFC offensive line. These two can start right away, and kick some arse if Jones is hit too hard. Ruggs and Reagor? That fast enough on the edges? Got a talented tight end as I'm clearing 5 million there, and took care of inside and outside on linebacker with two fast top tackling machines. Another top round talent of the gettleman hogs on the defensive line. Some good value secondary in the later rounds and another well rounded wide receiver in the Pittman. Still need some edge, but my free agents shall happen later. I see some good value...they rejected my low ball offers, will offer more then 200 bucks and a box of cigars per game...damn these guys are overpaid when it's your own money. 14: R1P14 OT TRISTAN WIRFS IOWA20: R1P20 WR HENRY RUGGS III ALABAMA 42: R2P10 C CREED HUMPHREY OKLAHOMA74: R3P10 LB KENNETH MURRAY OKLAHOMA 92: R3P28 DL MARVIN WILSON FSU 98: R3P34 TE JAKE BREELAND OREGON 109: R4P3 LB TROY DYE OREGON 147: R5P3 WR JALEN REAGOR TCU 181: R6P3 CB LAMAR JACKSON NEBRASKA 216: R7P3 S SHYHEIM CARTER ALABAMA 240: R7P27 WR MICHAEL PITTMAN JR. The dream scenario ... a trade back, expecting maybe Wirfs in this deep offensive tackle class...Thomas falls. I plugged his right tackle teammate, arguably the best right tackle in the nation...a 340 pound mauler with dancing feet and a earth shattering punch. I traded back up a few spots to gain Simmons...some mocks have him as a top 5 talent. Missed my center of choice, but nailed first round talent Marvin Wilson in the middle of the third. Simmons and another tank on the DL...my free agent offer was accepted becuse I offered 3.5 million, and my zero was off and we are now paying Golden 35 million per year, as they quickly accepted. Who knew accounting was so important...damn decimals. 12: R1P12 OT ANDREW THOMAS GEORGIA 33: R2P1 LB ISAIAH SIMMONS CLEMSON 44: R2P12 OT ISAIAH WILSON GEORGIA 76: R3P12 DL MARVIN WILSON FSU 109: R4P3 LB TROY DYE OREGON 118: R4P12 WR JALEN REAGOR TCU 147: R5P3 C T.J. If we do sign him, we lost an early 3 and an early 4. For a DT...another one. Not the way to "rebuild"...as the way to rebuild a team is stocking those 2nd and 3rd rounders ...the basis of a team core. The Giants have to hope, as ugly as it sounds, to be in the top three in picks, and not get into this touched by some God player, and accept trades for a QB hungry team. Yeah, Chase Young is great, but this Giants team is lacking EVERYWHERE...having a lot of picks in rounds 2-4 being imperative for a solid rebuild. Still disgusted we took a running back at 2, and Darnold love behind us.
