This is the exact same team as last year. The reason we won 5 games was because we won 4 of them vs backup QBs. I agree...when's the last time we played a good game on both sides of the ball?...I've accepted the fact that we will suck for a while during this rebuild so that's why I've kept my expectations low....the good news is that Getty and Shurmur will get to see Daniel Jones, thier QB play soon... To be honest I don't think Jones was Shurmur's pick because he looked like someone shot his dog when they announced Daniel Jones as the pick.

if the Giants announce that DJ is starting next week, I'd set my hopes high. If they announce that DJ is starting next week, I'll WATCH.

Just look when they were talking about the pick he looked like he was thinking dam this pick just caused me to get fired...This was when Gettleman was talking about drafting Jones. Shurmur's face said a lot.

Shurmur can say whatever he wants to say(fake hype during pre-season games vs non nfl talents) like when the Giants were trying to talk up Davis Webb and Lauletta.

You could be right but don't you think he would prefer Jones for his system because of Jone's mobility?

I would like to see Jones play too but you know he will not be starting until the Giants coaching thinks he's ready and that they are mathematically eliminated from playoff contenton, IMO anyway... Playoff contention? Even the mention of that makes me laugh. I know it's laughable and there is no way I think the Giants will make the playoffs but until they are mathematically eliminated the coaches and players don't find it laughable

Opening Day at MetLife is here, with less fan fare than usual. Today, I will miss opening day. I have made most over there years, but I couldn't get off work Monday. I have to travel in. This will likely mean the Giants win, of course, since I won't be there! Haha... Consider yourself lucky..

Shurmur can say whatever he wants to say(fake hype during pre-season games vs non nfl talents) like when the Giants were trying to talk up Davis Webb and Lauletta. The only ones talking up Davis Webb or Lauletta were the fans that want Manning on the bench the team said both were projects and that is why they were drafted where they were, Webb had the arm and Lauletta had some of the intangibles.
