How else would the get the playbook? This is where Shurmur and Shula earn their pay checks. The Vikings are picking Jones and Fowler’s brain for information. The Giants now have to be one step ahead of the Vikings. Use different cadence, change formations, etc. We had this issue years back, don’t recall the game. But the opposing team knew every play we ran. And we did not adjust and of course lost big.

How else would the get the playbook? We run pretty much the same exact offense as the Vikings. They already know what we do and vice a versa

How else would they get the playbook? I think that's exactly what the Vikings are doing, trying to buy info to help get an edge, I wonder what the going rate is for info like that...

Knowing the plays is one thing , execution of them is another. Meaning the players just have to do their jobs. Not necessarily . If I know the play I can show a defense to force the play a certain way to minimize the gain or or switch the defense post snap to force the rookie to throw the int.
For example Pre-snap DJ reads man by sending EE in motion the Vikings know that DJ is going to throw the slant to SS in this situation , post-snap the Vikes lbs drop into zone and in the path of the quick slant for the easy int.

I wonder if the Giants just ask Diggs he will email them the playbook. Just to embarrass Cousins a bit more.

TJ Jones was only called up 2 games ago and couldn't catch a football. I doubt he's a playbook guru.

Shurmur was Zimmer’s OC, but he needs to get info on Shurmur’s system from WR’s released by the Giants? Ok
PS - Did the Giants sign either of these guys?

You do know each teams playbook changes every year . I know you do. Blocking schema and assignments are rearranged . Running formations are modified. Routes are altered. That has to be done. Each team is different every season. It has to be altered. If it wasn't. there wouldn't be any strategy. ( What McAdoo was doing) If what you are saying is true. There should be one NFL playbook and not the autonomy that each team has. I can agree that there are basic plays all offenses run . Each one is augmented just enough to create ambiguity. Just take an off tackle right ( blast right) running play . The blocking assignments can be modified in a to push all the defenders with the run ( forward ) or to the right or to the left. Pull the left guard or not . Swing the TE through the gap first. just a few off the top of my head on how the off tackle right can run done differently from year to year, As long as the Defense is not on the same page as the offense. Even in a miniscule way. The game plan for the Offense has an edge. As long as the execution is preformed properly.
