Saquon Barkley was downright offended when some media outlets reported that he could be out up to two months after he suffered an ankle injury in the New York Giants’ Week 3 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and there is a good chance he will only end up missing two games. Barkley will not play on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, but Ian Rapoport and Kim Jones of NFL Network were left with the impression that he has a “realistic chance” to face the New England Patriots on Thursday night after they spoke with the star running back. “I think so. I think so,” Barkley said when asked about Thursday’s game. “Just continue to attack rehab in the right way and when it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be. … I mean, that would be awesome. Not just Tom Brady but the fact that it’s the Patriots. Are they the best team in the NFL right now? You could argue that, right? Most people would probably say they are the best in the NFL. So, to be able to have the opportunity to play against a team like that, on Thursday night, go to New England, would be dope.” larrybrownsports.com/football/saquon-barkley-realistic-chance-to-face-patriots/517445

Saquon Barkley v Nick Chubb:
Barkley(# 2 Overall, "Generational") - 1544 Yards, 5.2 YPC, 12 TDs, 102 Catches 795 Yards 4 TDs
Chubb(# 35 Overall) - 1,619 Yards, 5.3 YPC, 14 TDs, 40 catches 277 Yards 2 TDs
I would personally trade Barkley and a # 35 overall for Chubb and a # 2 overall......

I would personally trade Barkley and a # 35 overall for Chubb and a # 2 overall...... No one cares...................."running backs don't matter"Barkley matters here because of what the GM invested in him. He needs to be on the field and producing. He better be ready to takeover Sunday. Arizona’s D stinks. And Barkley needs to me limited in the passing game to productive routes. The guy needs to see less overall touches or his career will most certainly be a short one. We drafted him to run. He has receiving skills. Use him on receiving routes. The checkdowns need to be 1-2 a game max. Those are losing plays, unneeded contact. This is why I favor a RB and a 3rd down specialist. Barkley being both is cool to say, sing with well for his body over time. Touches = hits. We can give him those touches over 3 years or over 5 years. If we cram too many in fast it won’t benefit anyone except fantasy football owners.
