Fizdale just got fired. He was not the right coach for a young developing (haha) team. His MO is working with star players. Knicks have been devoid of that for too long now. Fiz is similar to Shurmur. Neither , are HC material. Heck , when Mark Gasol can not get along with someone. The writing is on the wall !! Mike Miller seems interesting,. . Maybe,he can get this team to play hard and for 48 minu Hard to do in mid season. Hopefully, Ignas Brazdeikis will get into the rotation.

Seriously, the state of NY sports is SAD. So much garbage. And about talking about garbage that’s been sitting on the curb for years. Thank God I'm also a Yankees and Islanders fan. Those are my only 2 Hope's. Syracuse football made me feel warm and fuzzy last year. Knicks need to be sold more than the Mets. They are a black hole of infinite sadness. It amazes me the NY lure is no longer impactful for the Knicks in the Garden. Sad. That Porzingus trade looks worse by the day. They basically got nothing for him. The draft picks will be worthless as well as good as Dallas is. Haven’t heard thank god I’m an Islanders fan in decades It’s Rangers and Giants for me. I grew up following the Mets and Knicks so I want them to do well but can’t call myself an active fan since I moved many years ago. With that said when the Yankees beat the Phillies in the World Series I was ecstatic! I hate all things Philly. I’d takes the Isles over the Flyers in the ECF.

Out of curiosity, and a bit of masochism, I may actually try to watch tonight's game.

Becky Hammon If nothing else, this is an interview that the Knicks absolutely need to conduct. Their reputation is horrendous across the board, but nowhere more so than in their treatment of women. The team was found liable for Isiah Thomas' sexual harassment of Anucha Browne Sanders in 2006, yet Dolan still hired Thomas to run his WNBA team, the New York Liberty, a decade later. Among the many goals of this coaching hire should be building goodwill, and interviewing Hammon in good faith would be a way of generating some. But putting PR aside, Hammon will be a head coach in the NBA one day. After the mass exodus of San Antonio Spurs assistants in recent years, there is reason to believe that she is among the favorites to replace Gregg Popovich when he one day retires from his post leading that team. She interviewed for the Milwaukee Bucks job, and had Mike Budenholzer chosen to accept the Toronto Raptors' position, she may well have earned it. All indications suggest that she is qualified to lead an NBA team. So why not the Knicks? Actually a report indicates that Hammon has interest in the job if it comes with a long-term deal. www.cbssports.com/nba/news/knicks-fire-david-fizdale-top-coaching-candidates-to-replace-him-in-new-york/

She obviously is pretty tough, and is breaking new ground. It would be an inspirational hire for many young women. I'm on board.

I cant believe no one is posting about the Knicks right now.
Ever since Fizdale got fired, they appear to be playing much better.
6-4 in the last 10
On a 3 game win streak.
They arent the worst team in the NBA anymore record wise!

The draft picks will be worthless as well as good as Dallas is. Porzingis has missed double digit games with knee problems and they gave him a max 158mi contract. The Knicks suck, but that trade isn’t a problem. We are getting significantly better play from Morris on a 15m 1 year deal. And he will be a significant trade piece.

Or just still getting back to form? The thing I hated thr most about the trade was the return. I dont think they got enough. I've seen the Celtics and Nuggets take teams to the cleaners with trades. I feel like the Knicks were in a rush to get him out and took the first offer. They could have really stacked up some long term draft pick compensation IMO.

Probably compensation related. But with his size and playing style it’s hard for me to imagine him being a healthy player. He was always banged up for us.

Its depressing to see how good Zion and Ja are.... Those 2 are stars. Zion really does look like the next big thing. RJB is a JAG type player... Knicks got Knicked again.
Watch they will get the #1 pick this year when there is no great player.
Could you imagine how lit up the Garden would be with Zion there?

The teams that picked 1 and 2 were already leagues better than the Knicks and Cavs, both of whom suck ass again this year. IMHO you really can't justify that, tanking or not. I hope the NFL never goes that route.

Of course it changed last year because.... Knicks.

I hear you, but personally, I have never liked them, even when the % favored the worst team a bit more. What the NBA did prior to the last draft is a joke.

Just when you think the Knicks couldn't get any lower, now they're publicly sparring with Spike Lee. Seriously, why do some of you keep rooting for that shitty organization? Dolan is absolutely horrible

Keep your thoughts to yourself if they are what I think they could be...

So, James Dolan has caught the Coronavirus. Keep your thoughts to yourself if they are what I think they could be... While I have no love for James Dolan, and how he runs the Knicks, I hope that he recovers fully and doesn't suffer through the worst symptoms. We all have our flaws, most of his are played out in the public eye.

That was one of the most uninspiring hires ever. The last thing the Knicks needed was a retread head coach that has never won anything.
