The trade deadline is the end of October. The Giants will not keep Jack Rabbit after this season ends, so it’s time to trade him. This move will hurt the Giants the rest of this season, but will allow the rookies to play, and better set the Giants up for the future, while bringing in a pretty good draft choice (maybe a 3rd round 2020 pick) and creating even more cap space for free agents and re-signing of better young players currently on the roster. This should and will happen....maybe during this 10 day break before the next game.

Agreed. Eagles and KC. So KC...... best fits.

I agree. Now is the best time. This team is going nowhere this season and there are several teams that are a player away. KC, Green Bay, or Seattle seem like a legitimate places. I would not conduct business with the eagles.

A 4th or a 5th would be OK Considering we are seemingly hitting on our mid rounds lately a pick here could be gold

I would love to get something from the 3rd-5th range. Jackrabbit has played hard and well for us for years. I'd like to get a pick for him and let him get to a team where he can help them compete for a title. A team like K.C makes a ton of sense for both sides

Jackrabbit, Ogletree, Bethea, Tate all should be traded if possible.

Yes a trade for Ramsey would be great. Why would we give up next year's 1st(which is what they want)for a 10 game rental before he hits the market? Oh and he is a diva

This is what I don't get . Why would you trade him if we are going need to sign guys in free agency . If they like him why would they not offer him an extension for the next few years ? I don't want another 5th round pick . A 5th round pick isn't going to make up for his talent . When he's on he's a difference maker and getting rid of a guy like that will just leave another hole to fill next year . The giants very rarely do extensions or restructures. I'm sick of giving away players

He's a large part of the playmaking in the secondary for now, losing him would blow things open for the young players that are clearly not ready.. It doesn't serve the development of the team overall to downgrade the defense for what, a 5th round pick? That would be a horrible look for Gettleman. As long as he's not a locker room problem, I'd rather keep him. Shurmur even though it may not always look it like, is still trying to win games.

Giants are rebuilding and keeping older players does not make sense....especially expensive ones. Solder is next to go, but not until the Giants have someone who can replace him, and after his guaranteed monies are exhausted.

Trade him now and let the rookies play. The only way they will develop is to play and be thrown into the fire. This season is gone anyway, so it’s time to see if these younger guys will develop into starting defensive backs. Winning and losing is secondary right now...development is the key for the Giant’s future, a future that will not include Jack Rabbit.

I think that's why Jackrabbit is still here. His upside is stil high. The problem is he seems to be an emotional player. When the Giants d starts playing terrible , he checks out. As for Ramsey, only way he leaves that team is if he refuses to play all season. They got him for 2 more years then could franchise him 2 years more. He isn't going anywhere.

I was in the belief that he was gone also and if that is the plan then go for it. I still think that the Dave Gilmore person has a great point why they shouldn't trade him if they are plan to keep him through his contract

We’re going to trade our best corner for a late round pick at best? Come on guys, I get this is a lost season. But are we waving the white flag before Halloween?

Who knows how many players even wanna sign with us. If we absolutely need the money next year during free agency cut him.

If he's really not going to be a huge hit on our cap and he's a good CB, I don't think there's a reason to ship him out. If he's not a detriment to the locker room he may provide some benefit as a veteran presence.
Plus, if Baker keeps improving, we can end up having a good CB tandem instead of starting the search over for another good CB.
If we really need the 11m in cap relief next year than I would agree, but moving on from him will really need to make sense from a cap perspective and trade compensation.

JJ is good but he needs help deep cant because he cant keep up. Unfortunately his deep help is Bethea who is has lost 3 or 4 steps. He is a playing poorly at this point in his career. He knows the game and knows where he "has" to be but he just cant get there.

You will not a get a corner in the next few years that is more talented than Jenkins. Do you think you could get a free agent as talented as Jenkins cheaper ? This philosophy of let's get rid of all the veteran guys and replace them with new inexperienced guys who prob won't even play makes no sense.. other teams that win don't do this . We had our purge last year . Jenkins has been great this year. When he messed up he owned up and came out and played harder the next week. If the Giants trade him for a 5th round pick it shows why they are perennial losers .

He literally held Edleman for an entire play on 4th down. It was one of the worse holds I have ever seen and it resulted in a 1st down on 4th and 7.
He is definitely declining, get a 5th and be done with it....

Why wouldn't we consider resigning him? He's a solid CB and his experience is valuable on a young team. Assuming he's not asking for the moon, I'd be fine having him back.
