Someone on the old board LOVED Randle. Thought he was the next big thing. Was it Morehead? I think it was.
He was good, not great, but it is really odd he just disappeared like he was kneeling for the anthem or something. He had some skill. Certainly enough to stick around some teams as depth.

Morehead has a “ I’m with Jerry Reese” tee shirt in his closet.. I know it.

Who wrote the article? Rueben Randle? It might have been his Mom ghost writing it. All of those numbers are real, the analytics team would fight to keep a guy like that on the roster. Because apparently they don't play game tape in the lab, they just look at the numbers.

He had 8 receiving TDs in 15 . Only 2 other players have done that for the Giants since.
OBJ 10 in 2016 Shepard 8 in 2016
OBJ 1 TD for every 15 attempts Rueben Randle 1 TD for every 16 attempts Plaxico Burress 1 TD for every 17 attempts Mario Manningham 1 TD for every 19 attempts Victor Cruz has 1 TD for every 20 attempts. Hakeem Nicks 1 TD for every 20 attempts Sterling Shepard 1 TD for every 22 attempts. Amani Toomer 1 TD for every 23 attempts Jeremy Shockey 1 TD for every 24 attempts
He may have been a numb scull in route running but , he could catch the ball in the endzone.

Looking at that, it made me wonder how many INTs and incompletions were the result of his incorrect route or poor route running. I remember there being numerous debates after games concerning whether an INT was his fault or Mannings. My opinion on what did him in was that it always seemed like he was never on the same page as Manning. Seemed like he could never get a grasp on the plays and routes he was supposed to run. Also, although there's probably a lot more that go into this stat, he only had one season where his catch% was above 60%.

One thing I can remember when Randle first came to Giants training camp as a rookie. Victor Cruz killed him and his work ethic and that was a bad sign when this is the first impression your coaching staff and teammates have about you.

It doesn't show up in the stats and he isn't on a NFL roster.
