Nah. Doing that would lose the locker room. Not a good move long term. Stay the course.

That would crush the spirit of anyone left standing. I'm with Piddy283. Stay the course, deal with the roster after the season.

It's not like we are going to need the cap room next season. No reason to do it.

Concede nothing. The NFC East is far from decided. I'm feeling better about the roster but more concerned about the officials and coaching decisions.

We’re not the Dolphins. We’re not trying to lose games.

This team has to believe that the div is up for grabs & believe that "why not them". Even if they were to be 1 & done in a WC game, it would still be a successful season if they were to win the div or even get in as a WC & make 2020 a yr to look forward to even better things. 10 game season now & it all begins in Az 7 days from now.

Trade Ogletree, JJ, Tate and Ellison........ get rid of those contacts. Tate stays the rest might be gone I think JJ they couldn't get bag of peanuts for him with his contract, Tree is easy out in the offseason but he might stick Ellison probably gone even tho he is a good team mate and a guy who will do anything asked of him.

So now the Giants have a chance to win the division?? How fast fans forget all the holes this team has when they don't play! LOL

There's more to a LB than covering people, and as bad as people think Ogletree is, he sure has a ton of turnovers.
I would trade JJ for one reason: I don't want him waived after the season and then we can't get a compensatory pick for him. I would trade him for his comp pick value which is a 4th rounder.

So now the Giants have a chance to win the division?? How fast fans forget all the holes this team has when they don't play! LOL Well in my defense I have been saying we have a chance to win the division and that we will make the playoffs since way before the season. Just like the Barkley and Jones pick people eventually come around. Of course we can win the division. We are 1 game out, just played the Pats really well and have a decent schedule going forward. The Boys have a brutal schedule and the Eagles have a tough schedule going foward. If we beat the Eagles twice we should certainly win the division. If we beat them once it'll be a close race.
As for the OP, we traded guys last year because 1) we were in a terrible spot with the cap, 2) had a horrendous record which made the playoffs out of reach and 3) they were locker room issue guys. No we should not trade any of those guys you mentioned haha.

I'm an optimist too, but the score was 35-14. We played the Pats well until we didnt.

Nah, they need some vets out there to keep the team steady. I don't even think they could trade away these guys with the cap ramifications, especially Golden Tate.
Jenkins is the only really big contract out of the bunch and frankly, they need him out there as the young guys, especially Baker, have not looked good.

I think that Baker has made significant improvements since the first game or two, same for Lawrence, a steady progression from him.

Kinda need Golden Tate for next season....I am not a huge fan but our receivers next year are Slayton, Fowler and maybe Sheppard if he does not retire die to having his bell rung

Lawrence has certainly improved, but I was more referring to the young secondary pieces they have. The young CBs haven't shown much thus far whether from injury or bad play. So with that, I'd think it unwise to move our only reliable player from that position group.

I'm an optimist too, but the score was 35-14. We played the Pats well until we didnt. Should have said the D played them really well. Either way we played "the greatest team in the universe" much better than damn near everyone here thought we would. People didn't think we would score, didn't think we would get a first down, thought they would put up 60 (or 90). Anyone that watched the game would say we played them well (I think).

It was said in many places that the score did not indicate how close the game was. Like I have said before, I'm not ready to pull the plug on the coaches but they are my biggest concern. I was all for promoting Hilliman from the PS but both his fumbles were horrid. Putting one of the worst NYGs in at "Punt protector" is awful coaching. Sure, the trajectory of the Punt could have been better, but the most important player on the field on that play got shoved back like he was a horse jockey. The very next punt he was replaced by the very valuable Michael Thomas and he stoned the rush. WHY was Stupor out there? He was just re-signed. I haven't yelled at a player like that since Donnell went out of bounds short of the sticks on 3rd down vs the Ravens. I feel that this is an opportunity to see what we have with these coaches. 10 days to prepare and 1 game out of 1st place. Show us, I want the coaches to succeed.

I agree the game was closer than the final score indicates, and we played them close for most of the game. But we didnt even cover the ridiculous spread. It's just sad to me that we Giants fans are at the point where we are saying we played well in a 21 point loss.
