134 total pressures 23 sacks last 2 years...
Not a true 3-4 DE, kind of small...but only 25 years old.
His name being Yannick Ngakoue? Jags....
Anyone?
Clowney and Chris Jones, age 26, are also get the QB studs ready to hit the market...
Wondering, we always suggest we have this great cap space, versus the actual results not being very promising spending the cap money on free agents to improve a team. Hell, we went nuts on defense with JR...one good year and then that shit was all blown up.
DG has a history of not going free agent crazy, and signing his own...but he just started his GM duties, and does not have any of his own that need signing quite yet. So...where do we put our money? DG has placed some of it (a lot actually) with Solder...ouch on that one.
BTW...Rodney Hudson, center for the Raiders just extended...damn. He was a great impending free agent at a great need of an upgrade
My plan? Sign defense, linebacker, corners and pass rush...go nuts on OL and WR with the draft. After Chase Young, not many edge rushers in this draft. OT, OG, center and receivers...a lot. Incredible deep class. Trade back if Thomas and Young are not there...let some fools go for Hebert. Time to go hog molly wild on OL, and snag a couple WR's...
Same page but be a bit more frugal in FA and bring back our own(Tomlinson and Williams,Golden)
The one big name ticket on defense I'm looking at is Byron Jones, can play corner and FS,wouldn't be noticed that nicholas cap wise because he would be maybe a few million more then what the guy he would be replacing is getting (JJ)
My difference is I'd rather if possible get one of the good RTs only so that we have a semi long term plan already in place at RT,because I would really hate to go into the draft shopping hungry, then have a worst case scenario where we miss out on Thomas and in between him and our number 2 pick a catastrophic run on tackles causes us to have to reach for a day 3 graded tackle kn day 2.
But the blueprint is solid
FA for some holes on defense and play into the supposed strength of the draft on offense (other than a RT)
Oh and its another deep corner draft again it seems so while not blowing an early pick on one there is some nice mid to day 3 value here(there is a guy,Blackman I think from Utah,corner/fs hybrid.. on my radar)
