That strategy worked great for the Cardinals.. If the Giants feel one of the QBs coming out is better than Jones, they will definitely consider it. They may not do it but they will consider it. If that kid from LSU is still there when the Giants select, it would be very hard to pass up.

Seems to me that this board is being overrun with idiocy and the one's trying to keep it in check are being pushed out. If that's what you guys want, then fine. It's your board. I will just be here far less now. I'm sure that dullards will be happy to hear that. They can now say any stupid thing on their minds without fear of being called out for it. Great environment. I mostly lurk Giants forums. Rarely post. The Giants are really bad now (and the past couple of years). Seems like negativity is affecting everyone. From what they say to how they read/hear it. Human emotions, I guess. There’s another board (name is escaping me right now) but it is worse than this one. If a member is critical of the team (any component) there are about a dozen or so regular members who will chastise said member. Even the moderators are intolerant and are suspending or banning members perceived to be “negative.” So that Board is filled with, in my opinion, fantasy optimism and lots of kool aid being passed around. Far worse things being said than here, if you could imagine. That sounds like a terrible place. A message board should be met with all opinions, from the good ones to the ones that you can't help but lose faith in humanity. If everyone wants all positive and sugar coated comments then you're in the wrong place. And matter of fact, that place would be extremely boring. I always felt that all voices should be heard, right now we suck. I'm a Giants fan and I can say that without any hesitation. We are poorly run, terribly coached, and even worse execution on the field. We make bad teams great and great teams legendary. How anyone can spin this season into a positive is beyond me. 2-8 no matter how you slice it sucks. Football is entertainment, and yet who in there right mind is being entertained?

OMG trade Jones only 7 games into his career? And with 2 games with 4 TDs? 65% completion - almost no weapons and NO running game...and with the mountain of holes on this team...wow thats seriously stupid... It’s the turnovers. All those stats are great but completely offset by his massive rate of turnovers. Jones turnover rate is unprecedented at this point....averaging three a game. That cannot be tolerated. If Belichek was the Giant’s coach, Jones would be back on the bench and Eli starting again.

People are reacting to a ridiculous idea of drafting a QB when the current rookie, who has played for 7 games, has shown promise without a run game, Oline, and one of the worst defenses I have ever seen. The Giants run game is so pathetic that the Jets completely shut Barkley down with 6 in the box. No team has any respect for the Giants run game so that makes life on the QB even harder.... Durrrpppppp. Our QB needs help so let's draft a new QB and pray that he can overcome a lack of Oline, no run game and a horrendous defense. That will do the trick!

The Giants definitely didn’t expect to be as bad as they are, but they could easily be drafting second in the upcoming draft. I like Daniel Jones but he turnover problem is ridiculous. Will the Giants opt to choose one of the many QBs coming out with their first pick? QBs like Jones that turn the ball over three times a game will NEVER be real winners. Can this be fixed.....at this point I am not sure and the new GM may want to move on anyway. The Giants could get get a late third or early 4th trading Jones.....Patriots would do that deal. No but if the 2020 performance follows 2019 w/o significant improvement I'd expect the Giants to be in the Lose for Lawrence discussions.

You’re joking right? I think Jones played well considering he was under a Normas pressure. The kid threw four touchdown passes with a terrible offensive line, no running game his two best receivers out. Let’s put a good team around him before you judge him. Yeah let’s trade him for a fourth round pick, what a joke No he's not joking. He's the epitome of the phrase "prisoner of the moment".

Seriously? Do you stay up at night, thinking about the most absurd thing you can post the next day? Since I see that you are never satisfied with our team, I have to believe that you are one very unhappy person, and since those unhappy thoughts must surely keep you awake at night, you get a lot of practice thinking of absurd questions and scenarios to throw at us every day. You are doing a good job of making your unhappy time worth while… this thread is a beauty. Keep up the good work.

That strategy worked great for the Cardinals.. It did. But it also coincided with the hiring of a new young HC, with a specific offensive scheme, who happened to be “recruiting” Murray for a long time. Oh, and who happened to land the #1 overall pick. A lot lined up for that scenario to unfold.

Where lies the problem. Instead of seeing the root cause of where some of the problems are. It is not the individual calling a duck a duck. It is allowing an environment where the duck is comfortable in stirring up an response to stir S### up. If Belichek was the Giant’s coach, Jones would be back on the bench and Eli starting again. What proof do you have? You're assuming ,what makes you think BB would have benched Eli. again an assumption. Proof is clear. He replaced Brady with their rookie QB during a blow out with the Pats way ahead. The kid threw one interception and BB immediately put Brady back in. Belichek does not tolerate turnovers and as many as Jones has would never occur under Belichek.......never.

Yeah, I don’t see that at all. I see no reason why Jones’ ceiling would not be at least equal to Eli’s....
