some of you guys are amusing..... as far as the OP there is ZERO way the Giants pick a QB in next years draft in the first round.....unless Jones gets a career ending injury. its a ridiculous thought all together but ridiculous thoughts are what this board is all about This board has become a sanctuary for bad ideas and ridiculous concepts. Here, they are protected and shielded from ridicule. It's become impossible to have a level headed conversation. Crazy is now the norm.

What proof do you have? You're assuming ,what makes you think BB would have benched Eli. again an assumption. Proof is clear. He replaced Brady with their rookie QB during a blow out with the Pats way ahead. The kid threw one interception and BB immediately put Brady back in. Belichek does not tolerate turnovers and as many as Jones has would never occur under Belichek.......never. And you equate the above scenario to starting a new era with a rookie QB?

8 games,................STHU. Jones hasn’t shown any improvement. The turnovers are insane. If this season continues the way it has so far, we will have a great draft pick and if Lawrence and if Lawrence out of Clemson is available and Tua isn’t, we grab Lawrence. If Tua is available we grab him. If by some weird manipulation, Bellichek tricks a team to trade them their high pick and one of those QB is available he would grab him. Lawrence isn’t even eligible for the draft this year. Please go away

DJ actually playing well besides the Fumbles which can be fix with a better line and actually MOVING DJ around who does have some athleticism DJ stands tall in the pocket too long and thats really the thing to me, i dont know if hes so much a chronic fumbler per say (well, he is thus far) as much as hes just gotta have that pocket awareness, hes often getting blindsided. i think he may just not be used to the fact that the rush can be on him that quickly and from behind and to his side that quick and when you get hit without expecting it, youre gnna drop the ball or have it knocked out. of all the cocnerns on this team, beyond his fumbles, jones is one of the few bright spots, his potential id say is still through the rough. for someone to say well he hasnt gotten better, eh, its half of a rookie season, its not nearly enough time to give up on the kid and proclaim anything.

So a blowout win, with the incumbent franchise QB as the foreseeable starting QB for the season and possibly future seasons, is the same as benching the former franchise QB for the new, rookie, franchise QB - as the starting QB now and in the future? Thanks for the insight.

Thanks for the insight. It certainly is questionable whether Brady is the QB of the future for the Pats. His contract ends this year....just like Eli’s. The more One looks at it, the situations are exactly the same. Outgoing aging QBs, two rookie QBs with possibility of being Franchise QBs for their respective teams...boy, the situations are identical.

Was Eli going to start the next week after he sat on the bench in the TB game?

The Giants definitely didn’t expect to be as bad as they are, but they could easily be drafting second in the upcoming draft. I like Daniel Jones but he turnover problem is ridiculous. Will the Giants opt to choose one of the many QBs coming out with their first pick? QBs like Jones that turn the ball over three times a game will NEVER be real winners. Can this be fixed.....at this point I am not sure and the new GM may want to move on anyway. The Giants could get get a late third or early 4th trading Jones.....Patriots would do that deal. what new GM are you talking about...

The only real issue with Jones is ball security and that can be fixed. I agree, if we have coaches who can't fix a ball security problem then we have the wrong coaches.

I was just curious and read a bit about rookie qb fumbles and ya know the guy thats having a breakthrough season and lighting up the league in all kinds of categories this year? Lamar Jackson. Kid has been amazing this year.
you now what he did last year? remember? he fumbled to historic levels. 3 times in a game even, and fumbles in many consecutive games.
he fixed it. he doesnt fumble like that anymore.
he learned and got used to nfl pressure and ball security.
jones will get better with this.

Jones hasn’t made any improvement on the turnovers. Seems Liquid tension/DannyDimes8 is back. All the trolls are back and they are being protected. Soon, they will be the only one's left.
