That’s the same injury that ended Bo Jackson’s career. Let’s hope for this young man that his career is not ending before it started.
This will change everything in the upcoming draft now.

It sucks. He has so much talent. It is tough to come back from a dislocated Hip.

On the surface it’s the same injury. But, Bo’s went undiagnosed because it dislocated then relocated in the same incident. His problems came from disrupted blood or nerve flow I can’t remember which. Will have to see with Tua. It’s found they can investigate it. Hopefully shut him down until 2021 and give him the best surgery and rehab for long term recovery. It’s not an injury I have much experience with unfortunately.

He probably medical redshirts and plays in 2021 as he is a true junior

I feel for the kid, I know he comes from a strong closely knit family, nothing helps more in these situations than that.

This is why you don't tank for anyone.
Wish him the best

Could have just cost him $40 million dollars....I hope he has an insurance policy on himself They mentioned during the mnf broadcast that he did have insurance and goes is expected to be a 3 month recovery. 3 months sounds optimistic to me I would be stunned if he works out at the combine or pro days

If they are saying 3 months I’d have to assume they are talking more about a subluxation and the kid avoiding surgery. Has he gone in for a procedure to repair anything yet? Edit: just read he has already had it operated on. I’m going to have a read and see if I can find what surgery they did. 2nd Edit: ok so he fractured the posterior wall. So part of the pelvis that creates the cup for the ball to sit in broke off. That’s what allowed the joint to dislocate. Doctor saying the recovery looks excellent at this point means he didn’t have to cut as much away as he feared too. Sounds like no complete ligament ruptures, or need for tendon reattachment. I’d assume he has a couple pins to keep the bone in place while it heals. Maybe goes in for a second surgery to remove the pins later. All sounds best case scenario for him here. I hope he recovers quickly.

Well this takes some value away from our pick.... damn I'm not sure that's accurate. It seems to me that losing one of the top guys moves everyone else up in the order. Putting a premium on the one's that are left.

Putting a premium on the one's that are left. Isn’t there some buzz around Joe Burrow as the top qb even before the injury? I’d assume Bengals go QB. I hope Skins go QB as well and then we have our pick of the rest. Not out of the realm of possibility that Tua can show out at the combine and out himself back up there for 1st overall discussion.

I don't see the Skins going QB. I think they like Haskins and have other deep problems to address.

As of right now I see:
Cincy - Burrow Skins - Thomas/Young Giants- Young/Thomas Phins could go Jeudy now that Tua is hurt and go after a FA QB. Rivers, Eli, Brady, Winston, Mariota, ect. Or they take 1 more year and go after Trevor Lawrence in 2021.
