Game Day Notes:
- Trouble at tight end? Engram and Ellison are both out with injuries. Scott Simonson and Kaden Smith (rookie) will step in.
- Oline is back. Solder, Remmers, and Pio will play.
- Shepard returns. Hopefully he can stay healthy.
- Trubisky to start. Not sure which team that benefits.
- 1 win in 2 months. The Bears have only won 1 game in 2 months. Giants have won none.

If the defense fails to stop Trubisky through the air this Sunday I will happily admit that James Bettcher should be fired Monday.

Mack worries me, but the Bears have been pretty mediocre as a team. It's a game we could win. More than likely, Trubisky will look like an all-pro, and DJ will be peeling himself off the turf more than not, but I'll keep my rose colored glasses on for now, at least until game-time...

I'm a glass half full guy but this glass seems broken. If we could play Cincinnati I'd give us a shot at getting the #1 pick in the draft.

The days of one guy taking over a game are over due to technologies like film study, data, pregame analysis, and in-game adjustments (unless your shurmur, but he sucks and won't be around much longer). Both teams are just duds, but bears are slightly less duddly than we are.

I watch the one game and he was making plays over and over..

If you're memory goes back that far you remember guys like LT, Reggie white, bruce smith taking over games single handedly throughout the whole season . With better analytics good coaches (not ours) have found ways to reduce their direct impact. Not eliminate their contribution but at least game plan in such a way to prevent them from taking over.

How many times will Barkley be hit before getting to the line of scrimmage? The answer to that question might tell us if the Giants have a chance to be competitive. If the OL can't hold/push their Dline or kick out for some screens, it's going to be a long game. Is it me or have we seen very little of Saquon receiving underhanded pitch-outs that allows him to run outside the tackles?

Fair enough it does seem those days of a dominate defender are less. Maybe it's a pipe dream but it would be nice to have a player who makes a few big plays or a game ending one..

Last week they didn't play and I didn't even miss it. I want them to lose out so that Shurmur can be gone ASAP.
