From what I watched. Everyone. Well, Allen Robinson was running free all game long so .... Particularly when he was out of the slot and getting covered by Ballentine Baker had a good game, I dont get why people are so dead set on roasting this kid every week. CB is 1 of the hardest positions to adjust to, usually rookie CBs dont have great 1st seasons

CB is 1 of the hardest positions to adjust to, usually rookie CBs dont have great 1st seasons I think that most people were ok with him struggling until: (1) he admitted that he wasn't studying hard enough; and (2) he was caught loafing on a play last week.

It was pretty obvious Ballentine had a bad game, because he got beat man to man. But at least he was actually trying to cover a WR.
What I find confusing is once again, on multiple plays, there is a wide open WR surrounded by DBs covering no one. Our twilight-zone D lives on.

Not much you can do to help a slot corner that is overmatched. Its another hard case of survival of the fittest Ballentine will learn and get better Kid is a gamer he tracked them down, he needs to hone in on the nuances of slot play. I was impressed with his over all athleticism, It's gonna take some time. ballentine made a great play on a screen play i think where he went around his blocker and made the tackle.

Can't tell if baker improved... Or if they just decided to pick on Ballentine today Yes. The Bears really went after Ballentine. He was a step behind the entire game. Did not defend a single pass. Just made tackles after the catch. But his first game so he'll get another chance next week vs Packers.

You say this like the rest of the secondary wasnt trying to cover WRs Our guys are TERRIBLE at zone coverage, yet we keep putting them in situations where they are destined to fail.

I'm pretty sure I saw Baker get replaced late in the game in favor of Beal. To his credit, Baker didn't get beat once after that.
I've always said I had doubts whether certain regulars here are actually watching the games.

That guy couldn’t hit a open receiver if he was 5’ away. I thought for a second Chicago signed a fan out of the stands to play QB for the game.

Yeah, let's take the only CB on the team who can actually cover anyone and put him on the bench so we can get Beal, Baker and Ballantine all on the field together, cause ya know they earned it and Aaron Rodgers is coming to town. You guys clearly got this...

They weren't drafted to sit behind a guy who won't be here and probably already has his locker cleaned out MIKIE.

Yeah, because it makes so much more sense to play a guy in a lost season who won't be here next year, instead of getting valuable experience for rookies who will actually be here next year.
Man, you're on a roll today.

It might make sense if the HC is playing for his job... I Honestly think he was given assurances his job is safe this year unless the locker room goes full 2017.

Is Jenkins starting vs the Packers this Sunday? Yes or no? lol ... and who is making those decisions? Coach of the year Pat Shurmur, who is desperately trying to save his job and could care less about next season because he won't be here?

I'm not a fan of Shurmur, but starting Jenkins against the Packers as opposed to sending out 3 rookies with hardly any experience between them is a no-brainer. It's the first home game in a month, they're on a 7-game slide. How they perform will matter.

I still say Scheme is the biggest issue here as well as Inconsistent Pass Rush up front
Yesterday, Trubisky was getting a lot of time and the Bears Offensive Line is suppose to be BAD
Baker is going to be a Good CB let him Ballentine, Beal all go through their Growing Pains as young CB's in the NFL they will be fine. I'm sure Rodgers is really going to go after Barker and Ballentine this Week so it won't get any easier
