What ever happened to "sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me"? Im glad Im not growing up in this generation... Everyone is so sensitive and if you arent PC you get ridiculed. The "R" word? lol Everyone knows when they say that they arent talking about special needs kid or something. Ill give you a more offensive R word.... Redskins. When we were kids we said it all the time but I do realize how offensive it can be. In the world we live in today things we all said back in the day are not acceptable .

Just when you think it's safe to wake up in Jersey!! I can't wait to watch the last 3 games w/o C/B's and a 50 year old safety. Maybe Betcher will wake up sometime soon! Jeez!

Lol! I fat shamed no one. I welcome anyone & everyone to go read every post I said about him & tell me where exactly in any of my comments did I "fat shame" him. It's comical that the US is one of the most obese countries in the world, but according to this guy, it's ALL related to "thyroid" issues. It possibly couldn't be due to eating like a pig everyday while being a non exerciser. Surely, you cannot gain hundreds of lbs of fat by just being lethargic & consuming 4000-5000 calories of high fat, high sugar meals every day. No, no, no, it's the damn Thyroid gland dammit. If that's what you wanna call "fat shaming", then guilty as charged! BTW, my DIs called me way worse names on a daily basis for 12 weeks in PI, so anything you could wanna call me is kiddy league compared to what the pros threw at me. I won't wither & crawl into a corner & cry to the mods for being called...gasp..."offensive" names. Holy shit. From thryoids, to caloric intake to military bravado... all in one paragraph. Told ya. Gomer Pyle over here then complains when nobody treats him with respect.) You also missed his posts about Shepard being soft and not playing through concussions This guy is a real piece of work

WTF took so long? Should've traded him for anything at the deadline
Baker, Sam Beal, Cory Ballentine, Julian Love we have plenty of Young Talent I just think Bettcher Coverage Scheme is terrible
Send Olgeltree with him

Cant believe he didn't just apologize. crazy I thought this cut was coming when he didn't apologize along with saying he has no problem saying that again. It now looks like he wanted out and I can't really blame him.. I hear ya though the way he went about it, is classless. Oh well....

Haha you guys really blame Jenkins bad play. Look at the rest of this sorry defense. Do you guys know how hard it is to play cornerback with no pass rush?? Yeah, it makes it impossible to even attempt to tackle anybody.

WOW ! Well the implosion of the team was probably centered around Jenkins. I wrote in a thread recently that the team still looked liked they were playing hard for Schurmur. At this point what difference does it make. How can you possibly make this secondary any weaker. Give the kids 3 games of live snaps.
Jenkins probably signs on to a playoff bound team. Good for him. He'll probably have a great playoff game somewhere. If a team picks him up we should save a game check or 2 on the cap.

Like most of the other players the Giants have let go, going to a good team changes everything and does wonders for the perception of your play. Well so far the Giants might not be winning but it isn't because these guys have left the building none are doing anything except Kennard but he does it like JPP he had 3 sacks the first game none up to game 8 then another 3 When we're rolling and getting neck deep in the self loathing some folks actually post that Eli Apple is now a good player.

Well, with Jenkins gone the bright side for the defense is with so many open receivers the QBs may hesitate with indecision. I love it, yes it will be a defensive play to improve the pass defense. Love it, very funny.

Choking down on a 14.75 mil dead cap hit for next year? Moronic. Fire Gettleman now. I really don’t care what he said, awful business decision. SMH. The Giants save $11.25 million against their 2020 salary cap by cutting Jenkins and will eat $3.5 million in dead money.

so you are complaining about fan "crying" before it even happens. sounds like you're already "butthurt" Really? You got that from my comment? It's just a matter of days, probably hrs before a contender snags him up & he'll be playing in Jan. I'm happy for the guy, hope he does get to play in the postseason. He'll be paying alongside other vets & not a bunch of rookies or 1st yr players that still can't comprehend the playbook, some must be "slow". You're happy for a guy who quit on his team?

All throughout this season all we heard about was how complex and complicated Bettcher's coverage and zone schemes were. I wonder if this will now motivate him to call plays that play into the strengths of his DBs and not just what he has drawn up.

LOL until the Saints have a couple prime time games in row and he looks like he did here lol. The mighty Romeo Okwara has a half sack on the year. Wonder how the Cleveland fans are feeling about Dorsey right now their 2 highest paid players came from here and are not producing OV is well OV not many sacks and injured and OBJ well we know what he has done to date what he does. More drama minus the production.

Flowers was drafted here as a top 10 tackle a building block he is adequate at the moment but now a guard. Rather do what were doing Will H is young and playing well hasn't given up sack he still has plenty room to grow and Zietler is still top of the heap.

I hope it motivates management to fire him and the rest of the coaches. I would actually think its a real possibility that the Giants don't win another game this year especially now that they lost Jenkins... Most of us didn't expect a good year but 2-14 or 3-13? This is a train wreck and someone needs to take responsibility....

Just think......just before Halloween there were those arguing for Jack Rabbit to remain a Giant for 2020 and thought the idea of trading or cutting him as silly, but now.......everyone wants him gone.

Had they won 6 games, they would miss the playoffs and a high ranked draft stud. The Giants are in rebuild, and getting a high draft slot would be great as I think they do have a lot of young talent, and with their huge cap surplus, they can add veterans where necessary or begin re-signing those current players they want to stay. Losing the next 2 would ice the second draft choice and possibly the first one. Any team not making the playoffs would love that situation.

There were the rumors but to your point I guess not enough offered; I am sure they are looking back now and wish they had made some deal I liked Jenkis but it's never a "feel good departure" when it ends the way this did for the player who obviously wanted out Just another smear on crap season

It's just stuff like this that makes me question Gettleman. I am trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but this move should have been made before the deadline. We weren't going anywhere, they weren't keeping him after this season anyway, so get what you can for him.
Especially making the Leonard Williams deal, they could have at least recouped one of those draft picks back trading rabbit, even if it was just a 4th or 5th.
Keep him all season, dump him now and take the 3.5 million cap hit. Cool.

If a team would trade for Eli apple they would surely trade something for JJ . also knowing that wouldnt have any cap penalty if he didnt work out for them. I like gettlemans picks but he has done some head scratching moves like letting collins go without anything in return. signing odell than cutting him as to take a 20mil hit.

Everything you said is 100% true but the Giants need to have a competent coaching staff to lead them out of the abyss. From what I've seen I have almost no confidence that these coaching can get players to produce. With that said, next off season will be really exciting if they cut these turds loose and get some good coaches....

So...putting aside my, or anyone's opinion about Janoris Jenkins as a player or otherwise.........I think a guy losing his job because he said something that was "un-PC" , suggests a world gone crazy
Like it or not....admit it or not.......Every one of us has used that word in conversation.
This is madness as far as I'm concerned.
