That would be a break the Giants can talk to Rivera and Rhule Any chance Rivera comes here will be if Gettleman is still here and that is also looking unlikely. I'll go with Rhule, but his inexperience scares me and some of the Baylor fans I've talked to are not a fan of his offense. |

I'll go with Rhule, but his inexperience scares me and some of the Baylor fans I've talked to are not a fan of his offense. Hate to break to the folks that hate him but I think he has pretty solid chance of coming back the Giants don't fire GMs not easy. Look at Reese they let him fail gave him 200 mill and a number of top 10 picks to fix what he screwed up then finally pulled the trigger. DG has had some pretty good drafts the team has sustained a lot of injuries to there skill guys on offense still haven't gotten a game in with all of them. |

Yeah I agree with you bbd. DG is gonna get a lot of rope, for better or worse. I think we all agree at this point that PS is as good as gone, unless he has some serious pearl tongued spin machine going on in meetings with the big boss.
No evidence to back me up, but it sure feels like Rivera is gonna be taking over after black Monday. FWIW, I’m ok with Rhule too. Just doesn’t seem likely with the history of this franchise and HCs.
If I had my druthers, I’d pay Carmichael from the saints HC money to come be the OC. Maybe give him the ole “HC-in-waiting” pitch to boot.

I think Mara would love to end the season with 3 more wins and keep Shurmur but I have to agree, no way I believe he survives losing to Miami today. The few times I have watched the Dolphins and they look like a much better coached team with a worse roster.

I could see that depending on the fashion they lose... if they get blown out or blow a game even this team should have won, then I can see it. If Shurmur hasn't been told his fate already then he & the coaches have the most pressure on them them anyone participating in this game... likely means some especially "inspired" coaching decisions are in store |

LOL , so you believe they make the call about firing a HC all on one game and create a mess when they could do it at the end of the season after evaluating a whole season . You stated in your post that they have already made a decision about Shurmur. I asked you what you base that on. In other words, how do you know that they are not waiting to the end of the season to make a decision? You’re continued inability to understand any post on this MB is mind-boggling. |

He nor Shurmur control injuries they are a rebuilding team they don't have the front end done they couldn't afford injuries. Now in year 3 to 4 to 5 this team isn't steadly getting better time to move on. if they are a 2 to 4 win team next year he is gonna be on the broiler. |

I could live with Rivera and do like the idea of a young up and coming coach. think they have shoved to much losing down our throats they might go the the safest and closest thing to a sure thing to get this thing rolling. I agree on the coordinator front hire the best and spare no expense to get who they need here to win. |

I realize I am in the minority but I like Shurmur and think he is exactly what DJ needs coming from a small school like Duke into the NFL. With that said I doubt Rivera comes to NY he wants a team set to go and being a former Cowboy I believe he'll go there . If not him I do believe it will be a coach from the college ranks. I am a stay the course kind of guy. But he shows 0 feel for the game and a stubbornness about relegating someone other then him to call plays he looks like a deer in the head lights when opposing coaches bait him with clock management tricks. Like the man and the man as a coordinator but his head coaching decisions are an adventure. |
