So did he clear waivers then? Obviously there are cap implications if so, and I'm thinking the answer is obviously...he did.

I sense some sarcasm in the op. Are you being sarcastic blue? I think it’s a good move by the Saints, I know Jenkins is not a popular player right now. But he’s still a good corner in this league, when he’s motivated. Imagine he wins a super bowl? I would pay to see the responses from some around here if that happens. I’ll sit by the corner, with a cold beer and just watch the entertainment.

He is a solid corner. Emotional, seems to hate losing, disappears when things are not going right for him. The one thing that he has is a higher ceiling. I Guarantee thats why he lasted this long. And now, the Saints saw that and picked him up along with the possible $11 million for next season. I honestly think this was his last season here regardless.

Ranaan talked to 2 GMs from playoff bound teams who said they wouldn't touch him. Now is the time he is under a magnifying glass he is gonna play his ass off and be silent as a church mouse. He was never gonna do that here he got comfortable with his big pay day. Good move for both clubs. Why cares if he wins there good for him. He had a chance here in 16 and the only one to get off the bus was grandpa Manning lol.

Think about from his perspective. He was all in when he signed here. We had just picked up big free agents had a new coach then made the playoffs. Then everything collapses and he now has seen 2 different collapses during his time here along with his brother murdering somebody in his home. Im sure it was very frustrating to go through. I dont condone any of his actions on or off the field but what I do is wish him the best on his journey. Thanks Jackrabbit. You are a Giant.

In his time here Jenkins was on good behavior for the most part, until this year. He can play when he’s motivated and he will be. He can still give up the big play, that won’t change.

He basically started the DB mutiny in 2017, when he was a no show at practice and got suspended for insubordination. He was also exposed for poor effort on numerous plays. He’s a good time guy. If you’re team is good, he’ll be fine. Don’t want him on a bad team though .... Saints are a good fit

I hope jenkins does well.. I liked him.. played hard , owned his mistakes , and was pretty durable .. .. he said something inappropriate and should have just apologized and left it . everyone has their breaking point.. the constant losing season after season just turns good players in losers .. the saints are a good organization with great coaches .. he will do well and once again we have more holes to fill.

There’s a thread dedicated to Jenkins that’s about 13 pages thick right now. He’s a hot topic, and like a few former Giants the good and the bad get talked about ad nauseam around here. If I were to guess the Saints success with the help of Jenkins would be a topic shared around here. I mean, we’re still talking about Beckham at times.

You’re missing the point. And how do you know he wouldn’t help them win a super bowl? It’s all speculation of course, but don’t just refute it for your own personal reasons. What we do know is he’s on a 10-3 team and will either start or play a lot. He did a jerkoff move with the comment and refusing to apologize. But the bigger picture he got exactly what he wanted. The hell out of here and on a contender.

I hope he has success it will be actually comical when the G HIVE gets their little agenda rolling.

I can see not liking him and not agreeing with some of his moves but there is a certain % of anti Gettlemen people who act as if every move and pick has been wrong. Just a little play on Marc Rosses Ehive.

And I never said a team wins with one player alone, as you can see in my post. Not the G Hive comment again, We have been over this. It’s terrible, it’s right up there with comments like up yours and Dave Gettleman is a good GM.

According, to ESPN , a Saints is responsible for 1.2 million for the next two games. Plus, 11.5 million next year. Giants, save on dead cap.

All screwing round aside I do hope JJ has a nice post season helps his team win and they take on his 2020 salary so he gets his full pay. He wasn't doing anything here. It was like giving money away outside of 2016. Maybe playoffs will get that player out of him again never was that player before and hasn't been since. Think the playoff contention spurred him on to play like that.

Remember Jackrabbit was was tasked with being that veteran leader in the DB to help all of the youth figure things out. Not sure if he took that role seriously or not but I’m guessing that he didn’t which could have been a contributing factor.

I like to see things after completion before I pass judgement. With Reese I was his biggest fan back when he took over it took about 4 years to start to change my mind on him. 2007 was a great draft. But he wasn't getting it done from 2008 on. I said no GM is perfect and they all have bad stretches his never got right again he picked a few some good player just not enough of them. in a couple years if these draft picks aren't winning I will go anti DG. Right now the drafts look pretty good and I have 0 problem trading the 2016 free agent class for some picks. eating salary to get the cap back in balance and not giving Collins 14 mill per.

It couldn't be good when they watched film and you have rookies seeing him quit on plays and he is still out there on Sundays or bad mouth coaches what ever.
