I remember his name ( Sean) on the coaching staff back when. I know he not related to Rex. Has a high IQ with his past education. DC , if Phillips is the guy I would have no problem.
But , the Giants need to close the deal tomorrow.!!!!!! No if and ( or) buys.

Any word on who his DC would be. That would be more important IMO. DC and OL coach has to be atop these lists. I wouldn't mind Wade Phillips. he would be very good for the giants. we would see big improvement.

Callahan at OL would be my choice. Pretty sure he brings his buddy from Temple/Baylor Phil Snow as DC. Know nothing about him right now other than Baylor runs a 3-4. Ahh Any pro experience? Staying in the same system would help Other than being defensive backs coach for the Detroit Lions back in 2005, I don't believe Phil Snow has any pro experience.

FWIW Ryan last year was in Bevill's system in Detroit. Darrell Bevill is a WCO guy from the days on Green Bay,Minnesota,Seattle (where RPO concepts were introduced as well as some of the modern air raid concepts as jet sweeps)
So I'm sure he probably is now familiar with WCO concepts to adjust to who we have. Remember Sean Payton was 100% a WCO guy until he was hired by Parcells, where he learned the Earhert/Perkins style So this is how the Saints became the scheme diverse hybrid offense
I think this is the perfect guy for us

Considering the development of Jones is the most important thing I would say OC and system fit is the most important Seems Rhule favored systems that had odd man fronts in his 2 stops in college, dunno if his DC at these stops were the same guy or what... I get the feeling if he is hired we stay in some form of 3/4..just a hunch, mainly because if we resign Williams and Golden we have a really nice base to build on word is he would bring his DC from baylor with him forgot the guys name. Don't know that Ryan fits Jones tho he does have some of KGs philosophy in him that means they need to get the OL back up to a3 second group hard to do today.

Which was the run and shoot mutation of the Earhert/Perkins system (those 2 systems are cousins in that they both are option route driven passing attacks,as is the pure air raid system which is a simplified ball control version of the Earhert/Perkins style in that they ate both number system offenses) He was in Darryl Bevill's system last year so he has operated in a WCO style as well.most recently. So unfortunately there will be a bit of a learning curve system wise no matter what hybrid style he creates for the offense for both recievers and Jones so even if he is the perfect fit there is a good chance the offense doesn't start clicking till week 6 or so. Now what could alleviate this is if we also bring in Jay Gruden as a qb coach who also could help install the offense if Ryan indeed wants to have a hybrid system, and also will allow for an experienced coach on that side of ybe ball as well

This is some of coaching talent and leadership the that left with TC.

This is what I could come up with. Well done.....this is a perfect post and why I come here. You think any of the beat writing asshats would do this kind of research on a potential hire's future OC.....a quality article worth writing.....nope the S.S. Shitberg (Serby) is still pounding his chest about how he poured it on Gettleman at the post-season presser. Also as a side note I wouldn't mind Phillips as a DC.
