Not sure why Tweet is not posting, but Ian Rappaport is reporting that the Giants have requested an interview with Garrett.

But as I said in another thread, he wouldn't be the same guy here as he was under Jerry Jones. At least that's my opinion.
He's not my first choice of the remaining candidates. Mine is Eric Beineimy. But Garrett is NOT the end of the world for us. I think he's a solid football guy who can win here.

When I calm down, I may eventually reach this opinion, but for right now I am so down on this team ....

Garrett's still under contract until 1/14. Maybe Gettleman can trade our #4 pick to Dallas so that we can get him in the building sooner than that

I truly believe that if Rhule had talked to us first, and we offered the job...he would have taken it.

I'm actually beginning to lean this way. All reports from ex-players, ex-coaches/GM's (talking heads), etc. are all positive. Apparently he's very detailed, a great teacher, and does very well with young QB's. As you said, he's not my first choice, but I don't think he's as bad as I first thought. I also agree he'd be a different coach out of Jerry's shadow.
