FREDDIE KITCHENS
C, UNSIGNED FREE AGENT
According to ESPN's Jordan Raanan, Giants coach Joe Judge is expected to reach out to ex-Browns coach Freddie Kitchens about a position on his staff.
It's the first interest Kitchens has received since his firing last month. Kitchens fared disastrously in his one season atop the Browns' chain of command, though he's had success as both a position coach and coordinator and knows Judge from their time together at Mississippi State. A 38-year-old making the leap from specials teams coordinator to head coach, Judge would be wise to surround himself with an experienced staff in East Rutherford.

Judge seems to be looking at a short tenure and Gettleman fired in 2021. This is a run-a-way dumpster fire and a match hasn't even been struck.

Bill Belichick didn't become the best coach ever by doing the things everyone else does. He is the greatest because he hires very specific coaches (and players) to do very specific things. If Judge thinks there is a spot for Kitchens on his staff then who are we to disagree. Sweet dreams are made of this.
Not my first choice as the OC, but Carson Palmer had 3 of his best years with Kitchens as the QB coach and the Cardinals had some good years with him in that position including 2014 when Palmer got hurt and Stanton started most of the games. Maybe he could be a good QB coach for Jones.

in his interview with Evan and Joe he said he is very good friends with Kitchens but that is no reason why he would hire any one as a coach.
He also said Kitchens has helped him a lot along the way and that he is a coach that treats his players very well.

I'd like to think that Judge prepared for being a head coach and had a decent plan for staff. I think he came cheap and just because BB said so, he was hired. When did f---ing BB become part of the front office staff???
Now we have an unprepared HC trying to scrape the gum off the bottom of the NFL's shoe in order to get a staff together??? I don't know WHAT the Mara's are smoking but something is gawd-awful here!!!
We have gone year after year, coach after coach now (and likely GM after GM) just to keep muttering to ourselves that there must be some other-f---ing-worldly plan and "maybe this..." and "maybe that..."
I call complete bullsh-t on these owners. When Wellington died, so died good coaching for the Giants. Tom Coughlin was the last of Wellington Mara's coaches. Jerry Reese hampered him plenty and all TC did was get them to the play-offs and bring home Lombardis. Mara and Tisch just don't have the same philosophy as WM. Barkley and Jones are going to be walked away from the most important years in the NFL by incompetence.
Years past...even last season, I hope and even bet "this will be the turn-around year"...it wasn't. I don't see that coming for some time.

Kitchens had success growing Baker as his O coordinator. I won't hold his head coaching stint against him since that's not the job he's applying for. |

It may have been Gettleman's job to hire Judge (not completely sure this time) but this is the brand owned by Mara and Tisch and they need to protect that but they don't. Don't you remember when season tickets had a waiting list 60,000 long? Now, it's laughable to think there is a waiting list anymore. This team died when Wellington died and TC left. Now all we can do is stare at the marker. Now, like before, when waiting for a season pass....the seasons will pass and no better luck! No! This is still my initial reaction to this hiring for HC! I've always supported free speech on this board but have to admit that when I see people pissing and moaning after listening to this coach, I can't help but think they are trolls with an agenda.
If someone has a legit issue, that's one thing and they better state it clearly. If not I can only view it as trolling the board and I will take appropriate action.

Unless some have been in a coma for the last 8 years. One good presser doesnt mean the team is out from the funk so to speak. Sounded great but we still have holes and a lot of work ahead. I dont think its trolling to be sceptical about a risky hire and history of this FO. |

Make those fans that devoted to the team that they want to buy season ticket pay an outrageous fee just for the "right" to be able to do that? I mean wtf? I understand that other teams have implemented this before but you have to understand that this will completely change that group that shows up every week. They have to at least put a decent product on the feild |
