If Eli were interested in a coaching position or some other position somewhere within the org i'd love to see it happen. As for now, I don't expect it to happen anytime soon. I think he's going to try his best to get an offer to play as a starter somewhere, and that probably wont happen, and then he'll just retire.

Man the media is restless, they desperately need something to talk about. Manning won't be coming back as a player for the fact same reason Brady will remain in NE. No one wants a 40 year old starting QB This is actually a first for me....I have never responded to a thread without first reading the article in play. Did I really need to read this to know it was just crap? Absolutely not.

I doubt Eli stays as a backup but if he did, I'm sure Mara would have to overpay for that to happen. I would think 5-8 million per season. Eli will either retire or go to another team or retire and then come back mid season when another team QB gets hurt and they need one to start.That feels like the only way he gets a starting position to me.
