It's a job. I'm sure he knew that would be the best offer he gets. If he didn't take this he would be a QB's coach somewhere.

Good for him. I was by no means a fan of him, he used timeouts like Kleenex and his use of challenges were comical. I fully expected him to get a job as a OC fairly quickly. I mean he’s a nice guy and nice guys always finish first.. All joking aside, he will do well over there. And I wish him the best. Just stay the hell away from the Giants..

I wouldn’t go that far , he a good OC. The reason they fired their OC was he did not throw the long ball . Elway (GM) loves to stretch the field. Shurmur, will have Drew Lock to work with at QB. Lock , will force passes.

Yeah. Glad to see him land a job right away unlike McAdoo who seems to have dropped out of the league. He clearly was not ready to coach the NY Giants with Eli at QB, but I digress.

I wanted to keep him and thought he did great work with Jones. I am sure he will do great work with Lock for the Broncos. They are lucky to have him. I don't think he was a very good HC here though, so I am glad to have moved on.
Go Giants.

Is there any truth to the rumor that he was looking to land a job as a replay challenge analytical coach?

Shumur was like Fassel. Good man, smart offensive guy, crappy head coach. Wish him the best in Denver.

As an OC, he’s great. Drew Lock will benefit. Good on him.
On another note though, what’s Ben McAdoo doing these days?

I'm glad he got the job.
Just don't put him in charge of timeouts or challenges.

I liked his red zone offense. Best of luck. He will be making 2 salaries for the next few years.

Shumur was like Fassel. Good man, smart offensive guy, crappy head coach. Wish him the best in Denver. Disagree. Fassel was a good head coach who hired an impressive coaching tree and was generally well-liked by players, media, etc. Took the team to 3 postseason trips in 7 seasons making do with guys like Danny Kannell and Dave Brown, I mean come on. Then he remade Kerry Collins and took them to a SB. Yes, teams under Fassel were maddeningly inconsistent and occasionally ill-prepared. He lost the locker room in '03 and then got the axe, but to never get another shot at HC in the NFL? I think the media had a lot to do with that. It was justified that they let him go, but I don't think it's fair to call him a crappy coach or compare him to Shurmur. Shurmur couldn't sniff the playoffs, let alone turn in a winning season.
