Another New England / Miami connection.
He worked with Tom Brady as an assistant quarterbacks coach, and in the same position last year with Miami.
Now he's promoted to quarterbacks coach and will work in the development of Daniel Jones.

Schuplinski was on his way to the Colts with McDaniels a couple of years ago, as was Judge ....

seems like judge is picking his own guys rather than more high profile or expected picks, while retaining the few good ones we had. this is gonna be a wildly different staff than what we had. good. dudes fitting into his system.

With our systems on both sides of the ball variable, versatile and malleable to opponent, game and situation

Good is right. Honestly, I was not impressed with a single one of our coaches. DJ did say that Shula did a good job with him. I'd be more interested in Eli's opinion on Shula's coaching ability with both DJ and himself.

I can't judge (no pun intended) if these guys are good coaches or not, but so far all the guys that aren't holdovers are guys he has a connection with, which drastically limits the available talent pool. That doesn't mean he hasn't looked elsewhere, but i'm hoping he steps outside his comfort zone for some of the other hires

Next we be hiring Flores , from Miami still waiting for OC and OL coaches. AS long as he doesn't retain Hal Hunter, it's an upgrade.

Assistant QB coach for Brady, Hmm. QB coach for Rosan in Miami, how'd his development coming along ? Well once again the same as I've said for the other hires hope it works. A lot of coaches with little experience in new positions.
I'll be rooting for everybody to succeed. A young team with a young coaching staff. I'm not against this I just want something that works. Last 3 years we averaged 4-12 seasons. Can't do much worse, were a crap team, can't argue that. I'm not against trying something new. If this is considered drastic I'm fine with that too.

The guy hasn't developed anyone. Brady was already developed, Rosen is a bust and Fitzmagic is playing the same as he always does...good in spurts.
What kinda back room dealings are going on and I don't like that a rookie HC in Flores is being under cut like this....Craziness....How all these losers got jobs before Bettcher?

I don't know these coaches, will be hoping for the best. But wouldn't mind seeing someone from the K.C. offensive staff arriving as a possible WR or TE coach. Possibly a Tennessee OL or RB coach. But we'll see.

Let the HC pick his staff! Stoopid NYG FO!
WHAT?!?! I dont like who the HC is picking!
Like I mentioned before...many on these boards would operate their team like Snyder does.

There are a lot of "WhoHires", but we have to let him choose his own staff. He needs to know he can work seamlessly with these people, and if he already has, and they have a rapport, then so be it. I have my doubts about the new coaches, but, hell, there's doubts about the HC... But after Mac and Shurm, we NEED a change. The culture needs to change, the attitude needs to change, the expectations needs to change, and this guy wants to go back to hardnosed ball with an emphasis on fundamentals. Seems like a good place to start. Even if we field a team that only manages 8-8, it's an improvement.

Thank You for remembering . But, I twice posted HC will hire people they have worked with in the past and present. Judge , will make the right decisions. He will get people who believe in his philosophy. Then we need some patience and hope for the best.

"Should run the ball more duh"....they run it on 3rd and 1 and get stuffed..."stupid morons so predictable, the line stinks gotta get a free agent"...sign the #1 rated free agent OL..."this guy stinks, I would have never signed him, fire everyone grrrr".
"Fire Shurmur, he isn't the reason Jones is good"...Shurmur gets fired, we hire Schulpinski..."OMG who is this guy, we need a well known QB whisperer".
Let's give these guys a chance. I like Judges approach so far, even if I don't know a single person we have hired.

NO judgement should be made on ANY coach about any development or lack thereof of Josh Rosen. For crying out loud, his own College coach couldn't answer when asked if he would draft him. Rosen has been said to have locker room issues, and "smartest guy in the room" syndrome. Not exactly a coaches delight. Miami had a lost season in which they were supposedly tanking and they chose to play Journeyman Fitz rather than give the "prospect" valuable playing time. So far it's looking like a career backing up for Rosen.

Is it normal to pick up position coaches before an offensive coordinator?

Is it normal to pick up position coaches before an offensive coordinator? Yeah...the only way I can explain that is that the future OC has agreed, but has a team playing Sunday.

Offensive Coordinator for Tennessee. That offense is clicking big time, and Tannehill has been developed. He fits the mold, only 37.....
