I haven't even seen any press on anyone interviewing. Is our target in the playoffs?

Maybe he's on a team that's still playing?

As long as it’s not Shula...I’m good.

Not a lot of leaks about this one.

I think it is Shula. I found it odd that he hired an QB coach without hiring an OC first. Than I realized Shula is still on the staff. Not that I want Shula .

I don't want Shula either but maybe we don't even know his abilities because Shurmur didn't ever hand off play calling or say much about him. I'm praying it's Brady from LSU, some fresh eyes with a fresh guy getting his break.

That would go against everything Judge talked about No square pegs in round holes Finding out what players can do and build around Versittle all around

Why is everybody down on Shula? It wasn’t his fault. We don’t know what he can do because asshole was calling all the plays. Someone please explain cause maybe I missed something this year.

I think there are better guys ( proven guys) . Shula is not the bottom of the barrel. We can do much worse He has a rapport with DJ. That is a big plus IMO.

Joe Brady from LSU is going to Carolina with Matt Rhule like it was reported he’d do if we signed him.
I know it wasn’t a likely option after we didn’t sign Judge, but we can scratch that name off the list for offensive staff or OC

Our offense did run some good plays this year. Especially with D.J. at QB. I say we give him a try. I’m sure he won’t stop running Barkley when he’s shredding the defense.

Actually there is evidence Shula blanded down Shurmer's offense. This offense had the same suspicious lack of creativity and bad use of personal that Carolina had his entire time there (especially look at the similarities in the lack of creative use with McCaffrey the one year he was there with him and 2 years here) We didn't see nearly enough of tbe things Shurmer was doing in Minnesota (all the jet sweeps, creative mesh routes, ect here..it occasionally surfaced and then it went blandsville)

Either way that’s a good get for Carolina. What he did to that offense is nothing short of amazing.

I'd prefer to see a fresh candidate at OC. Shula does not impress me. While he didn't actually call plays, he was deeply involved in creating them, and setting up game plans. We need to move on.

Yeah that's what I was getting at above There is way too much evidence with Shula havibg his hands in the offense being very bland at times

I hope that you are wrong but they have interviewed him. I do not see Garrett or Gruden being an OC on a team where the coach had a gigantic leap from Special teams to HC. Unless it is a smoke screen and they have someone with a hand shake agreement whose team is still playing.

Burrows is a beast but Brady might have had something to do with that.

I don't know anything about Shula besides the fact he's been our OC. It's my understanding PS essentially ran the offense and called the plays. If true, I don't understand the value an OC brings to the table.
My gut tells me we should look elsewhere, but I'll trust Judge.

Keeping Shula might be wise for the Development of DJ actually

Keeping Shula might be wise for the Development of DJ actually Ah - someone looking at the glass half full. Good job. Shula was not calling plays for Shumer so judging him to be a poor OC candidate is rather closed minded. No surprise from some. DJ has a good relationship with Shula that carries good weight. Couple that with the fact that Shula is no dummy stuck in neutral. With that and if Judge is comfortable with him the whining should get toned down if that's how it plays out.
