Now that Keuchly announced his retirement, how likely are the Panthers to seek a trade with Detroit to pick Isiah Simmons ahead of us?
Seems like that's the only spot we have to worry about with Burrow and Young being absolute locks for the first two picks.

Simmons is not worth a 4th round pick
Way too much boom or bust and not to mention he will get trucked by Zeke regularly...

You don't take a player like this at 4 where you have no real idea how to use him Too high risk boom or bust for a top 5 pick

Isn't the point of "putting pressure on the opponent to have to prepare for multiple schemes" the very definition of having personnel with no specifically defined use?

Which isnt a help if we don't know how to use him Nevermind I've seen too much bad (running himself out of position causing big plays against..ie..the playoffs, not being able to get off of blocks)to offset the OMG plays he makes.. Reminds me too much of a smaller Lavar Aarington who also was like this to take at 4

Something of note: Myles Jack is 5 lbs lighter and Dion Jones is 10 lbs lighter. Neither of them would get trucked by zeke. But the big concern here, regardless of who the Giants target, is that third spot and whether the Lions are open to trading it.

To move up 4 spots Detroit will ask for a king ransom. If I’m Carolina I’m standing pat and letting the draft come to me. I think Simmons depending on what we do will be there at 7.

That would be awesome. I love Simmons but if he goes 3 I am smiling about it.
My worry is someone jumping us for Thomas. Cards could use a LT. So could the Chargers if they go FA QB.

I want us to get Thomas and if we think we can make post season next year then get pass rush help from free agency.

My concern is that a QB needy team does a deal with Detroit instead of us.

It is rare to move up for someone not a QB in the top 5.

To me, if Young is not there (and I don't expect him to be) I'd take Thomas or Wirfs at 4.

I just watched a PFF mock draft, they had it going 1. Burrow 2. Chase Young 3. Okudah 4. Cee Dee Lamb
I do really like Lamb but OMG this would cause a riot.
I like Simmons, but if someone top 3 takes him....thats not a problem thats an opportunity for someone else.

We need OL or a dynamic DE or LB..

I'd be ecstatic with Lamb as he is probably my favorite player in the draft If we traded back and collected a bunch of high picks this year and next year, not at 4

Gettleman now frightens me .... especially if he blames Shurmur for his taking Barkley at 2...cause he suggested taking a QB the following year, a QB named Jones. Then fires the QB whispering coach Giants need to trade back...they needed to do that when Barkley was taken, idiocy...and now more than ever...this is TOO deep a WR class to take Lamb at 5.

He's one of the most talented defenders in this draft and can play 3 different positions and actually cover a tight end .. U figure out how to use him .

If anyone jumps the giants for a non qb, that would be amazing. That would mean, tua and herbert would be on the board and the giants could leverage three qb desperate teams into a kings ransom to move down 1 to 3 spots. And still get a top flight talent

They will come up with any cockamamie idea and believe it would be done. I am talking about a GM, owner who would spend that kind of draft capital top move up for a middle line backer? There is a big difference between having a pick that allows you to take a ILB at the top of the draft and expend draft capital to move within the top 5 picks to do so.
